Tim Hortons Roll Up to Win 2022 Starts on March 7

By Simon Hung

One of the most popular contests in Canada is back at Tim Hortons, where Roll Up to Win is scheduled to start on March 7.

This year's contest will run from March 7 to April 3 – as per tradition, guests who purchase an eligible food item will unlock a roll in the Tim Hortons app for a chance to win prizes including a 2022 Volkswagen Taos Highline, Samsung Galaxy S22, Uber Eats gift cards and much more. Like with all recent Roll Up to Win contests, this iteration will be digital only and Tim Hortons is providing extra incentive to order through their app, as you'll earn a bonus roll each time you place an order via the Tim Hortons app throughout the event.

"Roll Up to Win is one of our most loved and anticipated programs of the year for Tims guests and we can't wait to kick things off on March 7," said Tim Hortons chief marketing officer Hope Bagozzi. "With the addition of new bonus Rolls for mobile orders and over $100 million in prizes available to be won, we're giving guests more reasons than ever before to play Roll Up to Win."

      Much like life

    • Warming tray & Microwave oven are the only cooking appliances in these so called "restaurants". Even the donuts are trucked in frozen. It's such a damn shame because I remember when each had a baker and the food was good.
Couldn't give a toss about this stupid marketing put some actual money into things that matter.

I can't wait for all those skull candy discounts I'll never use!

    • Roll-up the Rim is no fun and there are far less actual prizes (points and Skullycandy don't count) since it went digital. This is how it goes:

Roll 1 or 2: Coffee or donut prize to get you interested
      Rolls 3-11: 5 points
Roll 12: Skullycandy $25 'gift code' (utterly useless)
      Roll 13-18: 5 points
      Roll 19: Donut
      Roll 20-23: 5 points
Rolls 24-25: Donut prize and coffee prize (in final week of game, so you remember you won something...)

      Rinse. Repeat.

    • The only year digital was any good was the first year when they botched everything and you could game the system. Hoping this will just bring $1 coffee back to McDonald's, as usual, because discount coffee is better than digital roll ups

OMG, yes, forgot about those, $20 off a pair of skullcandy sesh at $80 or $100, or you can get them for $19 at Walmart. Wait, or was that from McD's promos, I think that's what I had. The good one from the McD;s was the paramount+ access... great app if you LOVE Tom Cruise stuff.

    • I've been drinking the A&W coffee lately, it's not bad.. if they and McD's keep up their dollar coffees, that's where my money is going

    • What a shame. Tim Horton used to be good back in the day. Now it’s just microwave this. Microwave that. And I found it so funny how they were so proud to use fresh eggs last year. Which other places have been using for last 10 years lol.

I do like the taste of their eggs, can definitely tell the difference in the farmer's wraps...
McD's uses frozen hash for their breakfast burritos. Had some one day, center was cold, frozen a little bit still, my brother who used to work there told me it's a huge bag of the mix, eggs, and veggies that they defrost and put in the wraps... Not that I thought it was fresh or anything.

Thanks for reminding me. I was trying to jog my memory why I did not play or just did not win any thing last time. Oh, I won only 5 points for buying coffee from there.. very lame.

    • Wow, I didn't expect all the 👎 when I post this 😲

But luckily, I didn't post here because I am looking for 👍, I just want to tell people know in case they had been searching for when this promo will start.

In my case, I just want to figure when I need to used up my March expiring points as I knew this usually start around this time.

Having said that, I do find one good thing with the new digital format -- no longer just hot beverages to get you a chance.

I am still new to RFD, so I will look for this "contest" forum that some of you had mentioned. And I am not sure how to alert the moderator to move this thread over. Anyone can educate me? Thanks.

    • My thumb is raw and a little bloody from upvoting so many comments in this thread.

Timmies is a dead husk of it's former self, the campy app with it's ridiculous point system couldn't be less engaging.

It's sad because some of my favorite people in the local community work there.

I love their steeped tea and you just can't find it anywhere else. I'll definitely be going to grab a cup here or there when it's on. upvoted!

It's funny that there are so many downvotes and jokes about the terrible prizes. After all, I definitely notice that the line ups are literally out the door / parking lot for drive through when it's on. So clearly there are a lot of ppl who love roll up.

Exactly. When I was waaay younger, I worked there as a baker. Really enjoyed it too. Customer's used to loved my cinnamon buns and apple fritters... I used to overproof them and they'd come out fluffy & massive! Had a fritter the other day, it was depressingly small and crappy!

    • Wow the amount of whiners here are unbelievable. I've actually had better luck using the app than all the years of actually rolling up the rim combined.

Ask yourselves, has the food from most fast food places gotten any better over the years? I would say probably not but people here have a special hate for Tim Hortons.

I don't love Tim's per se and I don't hate them. Mostly indifferent as I know what to expect. If you're buying Tim's anyways, this is just a bonus.

But I guess haters gotta hate.

This explains why my last bagel with cream cheese from them was like reheated by microwave, melting and hot cream cheese and hot soft bagel. I thought whoever made it must be new to Canada and had never had bagel with cream cheese before.
