Coca-Cola with Coffee is Now Available in Canada
By Simon Hung
March 23, 2022The newest product in the soda aisle will carry an extra caffeine kick, as Coca-Cola with Coffee is now available in Canada.
Originally launched in Canada on March 21, Coca-Cola with Coffee is exactly what it sounds like – Coca-Cola infused with coffee. Described by the company as a "refreshment coffee...that sips like a Coke and finishes like a coffee", the hybrid drink was first introduced overseas back in 2018 (as Coca-Cola Plus Coffee), before making its way to the United States last year.
In Canada, Coca-Cola with Coffee will be available in two flavours – Dark Blend and Vanilla – and sold in 355 mL slim cans wherever Coca-Cola is available. Both flavours are infused with Brazilian coffee and have 49 mg of caffeine per can – for comparison, a 355 mL can of Coca-Cola Original has 34 mg of caffeine, while a 250 mL can of Red Bull contains 80 mg.

Unlike the limited-edition Coca-Cola Starlight, Coca-Cola with Coffee will be a permanent addition to Coca-Cola's Canadian product lineup and produced at a facility in Toronto, Ontario.
"We tailored the recipe for this delicious product, which will be produced locally in Toronto, to Canadian consumers' tastes and preferences," said Coca-Cola Senior IMX Manager Jacques Blanchet. "We're confident this innovative beverage will delight those who want the best of both worlds that Coke and coffee deliver."
Even though Coca-Cola with Coffee is a new product, this isn't the first time Coca-Cola has combined their iconic soda recipe with coffee. Back in 2006, the company launched Coca-Cola BlāK – a coffee-flavoured Coke that was discontinued after just 17 months. Afterwards, a Coca-Cola executive told CNN that BlāK ultimately failed because it "was a trend before its time" – 16 years later, it looks like that time may have finally arrived.
