The meme will no longer be a dream this holiday season, as Microsoft has officially confirmed that the Xbox Series X Mini Fridge is real and coming to Canada this December.
The concept of an Xbox fridge originally surfaced in March 2020, when a meme poking fun of the Xbox Series X and its resemblance to a large refrigerator circulated on social media. Later that year, Microsoft created a full-size Xbox Series X refrigerator to generate buzz for their upcoming Xbox Series X|S launch; only two fridges were manufactured – one as a gift for Snoop Dogg's birthday gift and a second as a contest giveaway.
Fast-forward to June 2021 and the fridge made headlines once again, after Microsoft revealed that they were actually making an Xbox Series X mini fridge during their E3 Showcase, delighting fans worldwide and even playing a minute-long trailer for the small appliance.
Microsoft finally broke the news on October 15, officially announcing that the Xbox Mini Fridge will be available this December for $99.99 USD, with pre-orders going live in the United States on Tuesday, October 19.
In Canada, the Xbox Mini Fridge will be available exclusively from the Xbox Gear Shop, after Xbox Canada confirmed that the fridge will be available during the first wave of shipments in December. The company did not elaborate on the Canadian pre-order timetable, with a Microsoft spokesperson simply stating "We will share more on pre-order details for Canada very soon."
The Xbox Mini Fridge features a matte black design made to resemble the Xbox Series X, complete with green accents, glowing Xbox logo and a front USB port. Internally, the fridge can hold up to 12 standard beverage cans and has two shelves along the door for extra snack storage.

2. Thanks for the information. I didn't realize that target no longer shipped to Canada. With the borders opening soon, it may be feasible to pick it up in the US.
3. It seems a little silly to post an article on the main page of RFD without knowing when pre-orders will go live in Canada.
