Lululemon is Replacing Hudson's Bay as Team Canada's Olympic Outfitter

By Ambia Staley

You'll soon have to shop somewhere else to get your official Team Canada gear, as Lululemon is set to replace Hudson's Bay Company as the new official outfitter for the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic games.

On September 23, the Canadian Olympic Committee as well as the Canadian Paralympic Committee announced that Lululemon Athletica Inc. will be designing Team Canada's clothing through 2028. Previously, Team Canada's gear was provided by Hudson's Bay Company, however the partnership has come to an end.

Lululemon will be outfitting Team Canada starting with the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, happening next February. The partnership will also cover the 2024 Paris Summer Games, 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Games, and the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Games.

Vancouver-based Lululemon is well-known for its yoga and running gear. This deal will see the company clothe Canada's athletes and staff during opening and closing ceremonies, on podiums, during media appearances, and in the athletes' village. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

After today's announcement, Lululemon launched a number of Team Canada items on their website. The Team Canada collection for the Beijing Winter Games expected to be revealed in late October.

    • Considering Hudson's bay Store's are so dirty and run down and held together with duct tape, the brand doesn't really give anyone the confidence of quality. Lulu lemon gonna make a fortune off this partnership
