    • Those tomtoc sleeves are quite good I have a slightly different model than that from amazon and it's good quality so these are a bargain.

I had to read the article and then read your post 3 times to figure out what you were talking about. I was picturing some kind of bic cigarette lighter with a build in AM/FM radio.

The thing in the article is an FM transmitter for your iPod/iPhone. You need a working radio for it to work.

Oh, thanks! If you happen to come back and see this: I have an iphone, but have a limited data plan - do you need internet access to be able to use the FM transmitter?

Well no, but all this does is take the audio from your iPod/iPhone and send it to your FM radio. So you need to have Data if you're going to stream music from a streaming service.

Many music apps allow you to download your playlists so if you do that, you can use this to play those through your car speakers with this device (assuming you have a working radio in your car).

    • Okay, thanks Lenny, Carl and Tom! Am not the most careful driver, so having music in the car hasn't been a top priority 😳 Although it can be nice to have music in the car at times, especially now at this time of the year - I better understand what the thing from The Dollar Store does now ... it sounds like downloading my music is probably the simplest way to go. Thanks!! 👍
