June 6, 2018Those who are fans of the Japanese casual apparel brand UNIQLO will soon have more locations to shop from, as the retailer announced 4 more locations opening in Canada in fall 2018!
UNIQLO is popular with shoppers for its functional, stylish, and inexpensive wardrobe staples. They're also known for producing fun graphic tees in collaboration with the likes of Disney, Peanuts, and Shonen Jump.
Canada's first UNIQLO opened in Toronto's Eaton Centre back in September 2016, and since then the brand has added another Toronto location in Yorkdale Shopping Centre, as well as 3 British Columbia locations in Bunaby, Richmond, and Surrey.
Three of the new stores will be in the Greater Toronto Area, with locations at Vaughan Mills, CF Markville and Square One Shopping Centre. The fourth store will open in the Greater Vancouver Area at Coquitlam Centre.
The largest of the new GTA locations will be at Vaughan Mills, with a one-floor store measuring 20,000 square feet. The locations at Markville and Square One are slightly smaller, both measuring 15,000 square feet over one floor. The Coquitlam Centre store in BC will be the smallest of the new locations, measuring 12,000 square feet.
Yasuhiro Hayashi, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Canada said of the announcement, "We're happy to be bringing LifeWear, thoughtfully created to make everyday life better and more comfortable, to so many new people in Canada through the launch of four new UNIQLO stores."
All 4 locations are expected to open some time in fall 2018, bringing the total Canadian UNIQLO locations to 9.
