If you're a fan of The Legend of Zelda game series, you may want to take note, as Nintendo recently announced the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Explorer's Edition along with a special edition Ocarina of Time 2DS, coming this Black Friday!
If you're thinking about picking up a Nintendo Switch during your Black Friday shopping, then you'll want to also grab The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Explorer's Edition. This new edition of one of 2017's hottest games is great for first time players looking to get into the Zelda series. Along with a copy of Breath of the Wild, the Explorer's Edition includes a 100-page explorer's guide along with a two-sided map to help you dive into the massive open world of Hyrule. The bundle will be sold for $79.99, which is the current retail price of the regular edition of Breath of the Wild.
One important thing to note is that the Explorer's Edition does not include the Expansion Pass, which includes both The Master Trials and The Champion's Ballad DLCs. Should you wish to play them, you'll still need to download them at an additional cost through the Nintendo eShop.
If you're more into handheld gaming, or are looking to play what many consider one of the greatest games of all time, then you'll want to pick up the new The Legend of Zelda- themed 2DS system. The handheld gaming device comes in "Link green" and includes a pre-installed version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D this Black Friday. You can pick up the system for a suggested retail price of $109.99 in Canada.
Both items are slated for release on November 23. So far, no major retailers in Canada have posted the items online for pre-order, so you may have to head in-store or online this Black Friday if you're looking to get your hands on them. We'll keep this article updated when more information is released about where you can purchase these items.
[November 22 Update] The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer's Edition can now be seen online at Amazon, and Walmart. It's also advertised as a door crasher deal on page 63 of Best Buy's Black Friday flyer and on page 2 of the EB Games Black Friday flyer.
Note that these items will not be sold in stores until Black Friday sales start, and quantities are limited.
