Nintendo Announces New Nintendo 3DS Special Edition Systems Available on Black Friday
By Simon Hung
November 7, 2016Savvy shoppers and video game aficionados across Canada are eagerly waiting for Black Friday 2016 deals, but Nintendo has jumped the gun by announcing two new Nintendo 3DS special edition handhelds that will be released this Black Friday, November 25, for $139.99 CAD!
The sleek new handhelds will be available in black or white and feature artwork from the iconic Mario franchise on the exterior. The form factor will be identical to the original Nintendo 3DS (not the larger Nintendo 3DS XL) and will be able to play all 3DS titles along with upcoming games including Pokémon Sun and Moon, Super Mario Maker 3DS and more.
For comparison, the most affordable 3DS system currently available is the Nintendo 3DS Super Mario 3D Land Bundle which retails for $199.99, while the new Nintendo 3DS XL retails for $239.99. The Nintendo 2DS is also available for $109.99, though this handheld loses the popular clamshell design and is not capable of running games in 3D.
At up to $100.00 less than current Nintendo 3DS handhelds, these new special edition systems are priced at a very attractive price-point for parents or those looking to enter the Nintendo 3DS ecosystem and will surely be a popular gift for kids this holiday season.
Let us know if you like the designs of these new handhelds or if you plan on buying one when they come out! Plus, stay tuned to RedFlagDeals for the latest Black Friday news, flyers, tips and more as we inch closer to one of the biggest shopping days of the year!

View allI bought a black and white one at the time, one for me and one for another person but turns out they got one as well.
Couldn't find my receipt until yesterday. Send me a PM if you want it or else it goes back to the store.
Selling it for $160 not like $200+ like most are asking for.
Edit: Gone
EDIT: Guess it doesn't work - https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comme ... h=9a54ee68
I just meant that perhaps a reformat will bypass the one week system transfer rule (so you'll need to buy LoE again).
In theory, you could probably reformat the source 3DS after, buy LoE again from the eShop, prepare the system, and do the transfer again.
But I'm not sure if system transfers are tracked by Nintendo through serial, in which case even a reformat won't help.
NNIDs can only be active on one 3DS at a time, and after you do the system transfer, it's now on the target 3DS.
If you don't care, you can just make a new NNID on the source 3DS by re-injecting FBI.
The guide works to hack the target 3DS and is 100% reliable.
It's a completely different thing that you're talking about.
If you're above FW 11.0, you will have to do a hardmod (which I don't recommend) or a softmod that requires a second 3DS that's already hacked with custom firmware + a $10 game off the Nintendo eShop for the exploit.

I hacked my N3DS a few days back. Upgraded it to 11.2, prepared my brother's hacked 3DS, did the system transfer, and everything is all good.
Thanks
I hope there are huge stocks coming in and left these ppl suffer lol.
PS I wanst really after these consoles... I'll sticking with SONY ATM..
Thanks so much in advance
1. hardware flashcart based, gateway3ds and skycard, gateway supports homebrew, skycard does better cart emulation
2. software cfw, does everything
I would really appreciate the same..if anyone can pm with the different options please....
What's the cons about hard mods (besides voiding the warranty)? In my research I find people are quite against hard mods for some reason even though it seems to be the easiest way to get into CFW and Emus with the new 11.0+ firmwares. I also looked into flashcarts but not even sure what works and what doesn't... the scene has gotten a whole lot more confusing and technically savvy.
Thanks.
I think it's ard 158 after tax.. location preferred : downtown or north York in Toronto ON.. lmk.. will return by Friday if no response.
Again, it DOES NOT incl charger...
Update: Sold =D
Still some at Walmart in Olds, AB as of today. If anyone is seriously interested I can pick one or two up and ship them at your expense.
