    • Shaw killed Han. Everyone liked Han. I wonder how he can be redeemed into a good guy...

Reading the reports, Vin did appear Fast to be Furious about this turn of events.

    • Now we know the "fate" .. Dom gets thrown under the bus.

    • We've seen how F&F turns out without the RIde or Die crew. They can fill seats but it's just not the same.

Why does hollywood need to milk the hell out of something instead of having the Rock and Mr Transporter just do an original movie.

I can't believe I'm being sucked into a discussion about bro politics in the FF series, but Han was Dom's friend, and not Hobbs', so it's still plausible.

    • If Idris returns for follow up movies, I hope they keep him as a villain and not eventually do something stupid and make him a part of the FF family.

    • What the hell is this? They turned it into a super hero flick.

How are two guys who can fight but ultimately are still human going to defeat a wolverine facsimile?

Take a look at Luke Cage 2's Bushmaster...same flaw applies ;)

    • I've followed the F&F franchise all the way, ever since the 2001 original, but I have to say, I'm totally on-board with "Hobbs & Shaw"!

    • It's pretty amazing that the Fast and Furious franchise has pivoted from a movie of riced out cars back almost 20 years ago to now a legitimate action flick all the while being very successful in the process. This franchise has done something incredible looking at the full picture.

F&F works, I think, because it's stupid and it knows it's stupid but still wants us the audience to have fun but still takes itself earnestly enough to avoid being an outright parody. At times, it comes dangerously close to being a Michael Bay Transformer-fest but unlike Transformers where I simply didn't give a capital S about anyone in it, F&F has charismatic characters the audience likes and care about... while they're flying/freefalling around in magical supercars.

The writer claims they'll be justice for Han but it sounds pretty weak

      https://ew.com/movies/2019/07/30/hobbs- ... e-for-han/

I wonder if The Rise of Skywalker will feature justice for their Han
Lol. Yeah, we'll just have to see what kind of justice F&F Han gets.

As for SW. Goddam hell - I want justice for The Last Jedi, if not for both TFA and TLJ. For Han, for Leia, for Luke, for all pissed away oppurtunities to end the franchise in greatness.

What aspects in particular would you say were disappointing? I haven't seen the movie yet but, from the previews, it looks decent...like more of the same "Fast and Furious" style of comic book action, which I find entertaining for what it is. Currently 7.4/10 on IMDB so not horrible!

    • And on another note, that #JusticeForHan that the writers talked about in the recent interview? It definitely sounds weak. One ambiguous indirect line in the movie and all is forgiven? I don't think so.

    • This was just awful. One of the worst movie to come out this year.

The cameos were the best part of the film

    • Think I'd rather go watch Finnish director Renny Harlin's Hong Kong thriller "Bodies at Rest" (also coming to theatres here this weekend) than Hobbs and Shaw. Renny Harlin had some good action flicks. I think "Die Hard 2" and "Cliffhanger" comes to mind for most of us.

    • Just watched the movie and thought it was just okay. Most of the best action scenes were in the trailer. The whole plot also felt kinda weak but I liked the cameos and the rock and Jason Statham had good chemistry in my opinion. Really tho I felt that Idris Elba was kinda wasted as the villain and could have used more character development. Keep your expectations low and you might enjoy it tho.
But if your going to see it, I'd recommend going to see it in like AVX or something as some of the action scenes were really good especially with the helicopter and they wouldn't be as cool on a small screen.
