RFD Staff Pick -- The Accountant

Ben Affleck plays an accountant (surprise!) in The Accountant, available to stream starting August 27.

August is a relatively dull month for new releases, but you can watch Ben Affleck play Christian Wolff, a skilled forensic accountant with a dark past who secretly helps criminal organizations under the guise of a small-town accounting firm. The mediocre plot is redeemed by good action sequences and an excellent supporting cast that includes Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons and Jon Bernthal.

    • The Accountant was decent for the first hour, but after that, it went downhill. Had a good premise, but failed by the 3rd act.

    • This list would be a lot more useful if it said what type of show each title was. TV show? movie? documentary?
