RFD Staff Pick -- District 9

District 9 is available to stream July 1, which is probably a better choice than Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

It's 2010 and aliens have coexisted with humans for nearly 30 years, relegated to a government-controlled slum in Johannesburg. Bureaucrat Wikus van de Merwe (Sharlto Copley) is tasked with moving the alien population to a new location, but becomes infected with a pathogen that mutates his body and grants him the ability to use advanced alien weaponry. Now hunted by government mercenaries, Wikus forms an uneasy alliance with an alien with the hopes of reversing its effects in District 9, available to stream July 1.
