Sears Canada Has Closed its Online Store

By Ambia Staley

Sears Canada started the liquidation process of their remaining assets this past week, but those hoping to avoid the in-store chaos of liquidation sales by shopping online are in for a bit of disappointment, as Sears Canada has quietly shuttered their online store.

Going forward, customers heading online to shop clearance deals at Sears.ca will be greeted only with a 'thank you' message as well as information about protection agreements and return policies. The company has removed all product from the site and stated that, "unfortunately, despite the outstanding efforts of dedicated associates across the Company, Sears Canada does not have the financial resources to provide it with the time necessary to complete its reinvention. As a result, Sears Canada is winding down its operations and shopping is no longer available online."

If you're looking to shop any liquidation offers, the company suggests that customers head to one of the remaining Sears locations.

While closure dates have not yet been decided for individual stores, the company has stated that liquidation sales are expected to finish before January 21, 2018. Take a look below at the store locations still open for shopping:

Alberta still has a few stores open! It should be showing in the post now, thank you!

Don't worry, even when before they announced they were closing they were merely the store you walked through to get to the mall
