eBay Canada is looking to become a more reliable shopping destination for Canadians, because the e-commerce giant has announced a new price match guarantee, effective July 10.
The guarantee only covers new products sold through the eBay Deals program, which showcases genuine products sold by reputable sellers. If you find a lower price for a product at a competing store, eBay.ca will match it by offering a coupon for the price difference, after verification.
Products eligible for price matching must be new, in retail packaging and identical with the item you wish to match. At launch, eBay.ca will match the online prices at competitors including Amazon.ca, Best Buy and Walmart.
Known for popularizing the auction-style online marketplace, eBay has steered away from that image in recent years with the eBay Deals program, which features thousands of products sold by trusted sellers. eBay’s new price match policy will launch in conjunction with their Summer Deals Event, where you can save up to 70% off a plethora of products including electronics, appliances and more from July 10 to 18.
