One year ago, RFD forums guru and self-proclaimed McDonald’s enthusiast Tom wrote about his positive experience with the standalone McCafé locations in Toronto and his dream of having the concept of all-day breakfast expand across Canada.
That dream has now become a reality, as McDonald's will be testing all-day breakfast at 17 locations in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec!
According to the Globe and Mail, participating restaurants are located in Coquitlam and Langley in British Columbia; Ajax, Brampton, Mississauga and Whitby in Ontario; and the Montreal area in Quebec. In our forums, BB8819 listed the participating restaurants in Ontario. We’ve reached out to McDonald’s to see if they can provide a definitive list of all locations and we’ll update this article once they give more details.
This past December, McDonald’s introduced the Potato Rosti & Bacon Burger, which includes a hash brown patty -- it’s one way to eat their delicious hash browns past 11:00 AM, but it just isn’t the same.
McDonald’s all-day breakfast has been a success in the United States since 2015 and it’s an encouraging sign to see the concept (finally) come to Canada. Let us know if you see any all-day breakfast locations and if you’re looking forward to eating Egg McMuffins and hash browns at any time of the day!
