    • Yeah, it's a great game. All four are actually great games, one of the best months so far in my opinion.

    • Excellent month.

Xbox is offering way more value than Playstation lately. Goes to show how consumers are the big winners when a company is playing catch-up. And vice versa.

Xbox always has, Microsoft is a lot better at providing value for their customers, their consoles are always cheaper, they have great deals on Xbox Live/Game Pass (usually $1), they exclusively had EA Access for a long time, they provide better free games each month, they have a good refund policy now etc.
Sony sucks, their consoles are WAY overpriced, their consoles alone are more expensive than an Xbox bundled with usually 2-4 games, they rarely have deals on Playstation Plus, they don't have anything as good as Game Pass, they turned down EA access for years because $5 a month or $30 a year was "too much" for all those games. Just because they have some exclusives people think they are better and it outsells, Xbox has just as good exclusives including Halo, Forza, Gears of War etc.
Xbox is gaining some traction lately, so hopefully next generation people realize Xbox is better and go that route instead of supporting a company like Sony.

I've just seen them as two different consoles that appeal to two different gamers. I think they both have their merits. Both video games, but almost apples to oranges this late in the game.

How dare you take both sides of an argument on the internet. I need to know if you're with me or against me.

    • Both Gears and Forza 6 are top tier picks, excellent AAA games. I'm not even mad that they're GWG even though I have them.

I also have Torchlight (from the 360 days) and its a really fun game. A pity its single player, but still worth the download!

    • Wow! Solid month! I'm excited to play Castlevania.

I'm playing through Gears 4 on gamepass right now with my son. Cant wait for 5!

    • I mean, I can play Gears 4 on Game Pass though. I'm never going to play it again after the first go through. Given that both Forza and Gears are owned by Microsoft, if you have Game Pass, you're kind of getting nothing on the Xbox One.

As much as I like my Xbox, I will say that at the start of this generation, Xbox was actually more expensive (because of Kinect) and had less power under the hood (due to the decision to use slower RAM). As someone who has owned both consoles, the PS4 was the better deal early on because of the amount of good games, and the quality of the free PS+ games they were giving out at first compared to XBox. They even gave out Rocket League on the game's launch as part of PS+!

It wasn't until Phil Spencer took over that Xbox finally turned it around, and they had to because they were lagging so far behind PS4. Things like Gamesharing between accounts, console-to-PC streaming, the use of an external HDD, subscription servies - all of that is now common because the XBox did it first, which I'm super grateful for. Competition is healthy, and it forces the best out of both companies.

    • Really solid month!
What I enjoy about Xbox Gold is the 360 Titles don't require a sub to play them - once you get them they're yours to keep.
I have both a PS4 and Xbox One but don't play enough multiplayer to justify both subscriptions.
If PS4 allowed you to play games without a sub I would definitely consider it but they don't even offer the older stuff anymore which sucks.

    • I'm not even an Xbox person and that's a damned solid month. Hopefully PS+ gives us something of similar quality for August.

their new console won't even have backwards compatibility with the PS4 from what they have said
      This is absolutely not correct.

Man, you come in and post a solid thread about the GWG for August, and now you are just slowly tarnishing the thread with the incorrect and biased text you are throwing around.

I fixed lol, the last article I read did say that but that was quite a while ago and I see they changed their mind now.

Keep it! Best gift ever was when my wife got me one. Playing F1 or any racing with a wheel is a league of its own.
