Nintendo Labo is a new line of DIY kits made exclusively for Nintendo Switch where owners can craft cardboard accessories to use with the console. The cardboard creations integrate with the Nintendo Switch and for comparison, Nintendo Labo pre-orders are regular price at Best Buy.

Two kits are available for pre-order -- a Robot Kit with materials to assemble a wearable robot suit and a Variety Kit with materials for six Toy-Con creations including a fishing rod, house, motorbike, 13-key piano and two RC cars. We've listed the pricing for both kits below.

Both Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Kits are eligible for free shipping and available at the discounted price for a limited time. Pre-orders will begin shipping on April 20.

    • I hate to be a critic, but this seems really expensive for what is essentially cardboard. When I first saw the announcement for labo I was quite excited but the question remained in the back of my mind, "how much are these going to cost?"

I will be waiting for reviews before I purchase any of this cardware. Because I would be worried of damaging something, and I am a really careful person. God forbid someone with a cat gets one.

    • I'm not quite sold on this yet, but I gotta admit that it looks like a really interesting idea. Leave it up to Nintendo to come up with something amazingly unique.

Those expensive kit come with the game, that's why they are expensive.

Nintendo said cheaper kit with only the cardboard will be offer.

I'm also sure 3D printing blueprint will be available on the internet rapidly.

Totally agree. Nintendo get often bashed but they still are by far more innovative than Sony and Microsoft!

Who's down voting this??!! A deal is a deal! If you're not interested or you're doubtful about the product just post it...

Thanks OP, don't have a switch but will share it with a friend who told my about this new thing days ago!

Nintendo has said there will be a cardboard replacement program. Not free I'm sure, but at substantial discount most likely.
