Play one of the best-selling Switch games with this bundle from Walmart, because you can pre-order a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller + Super Mario Odyssey Bundle for $129.96 with free shipping!

Originally announced on September 3, this Walmart-exclusive bundle is ideal for newer Nintendo Switch owners, as it includes a hard-to-find Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and a digital copy of Super Mario Odyssey, which was released in October 2017. You'll also save approximately $40.00 with the bundle, as the standalone Pro Controller and game are regularly $89.99 and $79.99, respectively. A few notable features include:

  • Kick your game sessions up a notch with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with motion controls, HD Rumble, built-in amiibo functionality and more
  • Explore incredible places far from the Mushroom Kingdom as you join Mario and his ally Cappy on a massive, globe-trotting 3D adventure
  • Use amazing abilities to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser's wedding plans
  • Mario's got moves that’ll make you re-think his traditional run-and-jump gameplay
  • Use captured cohorts such as enemies, objects and animals to progress through the game and uncover loads of hidden collectibles.
  • Play with a friend in co-op mode as Player 1 controls Mario while Player 2 controls Cappy

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller + Super Mario Odyssey bundle is scheduled for release on September 17 and pre-orders qualify for free shipping from Walmart.ca.

    • Regret missing out on pro controller deals for $50. Dont think we'll ever see it that low again

    • Thought about posting this, but much rather go through SDM 20x points offers (assuming buyer doesn't mind holding points).

Ends up cheaper and I get a game of my choice; physical copy to boot.

    • Had a lot of fun with this game! Would definitely recommend it if you're a Mario fan and have never played it.

Interesting that walmart stores already show stock: (might be hiding at the back before official release?)

My wife happened to be out and I asked her to check our local store (Stockyards) and despite showing stock, they are not out to buy.

This deal would be an absolute home run if the game was physical.

You might have to ask associate to check at the back for you. They are probably in the locked cage. One might not know that they are not supposed to be sold yet and give it to you. (I remember that happened with PS4 back button)

    • I bought one for my son around Black Friday it was $49.99 and went to buy another one and the $89.99 plus tax price is crazy! However, this is a high quality controller the rechargeable battery is still great as well

    • Honestly this is a good deal if you actually want both and can't find (or don't have) a Shoppers with good electronics stock and you want or don't mind a digital copy.

During their F+F 20% off sales you can get a Pro Controller and a Game for $135.98+tax so if you prefer physical that's the best way to go.

    • So the controller on it's own is $90, and Odyssey is $80, so this is just Odyssey for half price, which isn't bad if you want both items, but makes me wonder if Odyssey will become a "Nintendo Select" title after this bundle anyway.

    • The official release date is september 17th. It shows up in stock in-store on the website, but it's an error, they cannot be sold before the 17th (one employee went to the back to confirm).

    • I don't understand why this is releasing on the 11th in the US but the 17th here.

    • I preordered one for in-store pickup, it's in stock now online for pre-order.

Not really, great battery life and it has NFC for amiibo... mind you I would appreciate a cheaper model with no NFC.

    • The pro controller can't work with the Mario Party game, right? I wish they have a joy con bundle instead.
