    • Might be a dumb question but as long as the product doesn't stay "In-store only" you can order it online the second the online store it opens up right? I've been eyeing the pink/green joycons for some time now waiting for a sale and I'm willing to wake up early to go grab them but I'm not going to do that if I can just reserve them online.

    • So need some guidance - we've got a couple of Xbox Ones in the house and my son wants NHL 20. Is it better for me to buy the digital version and load it on both devices so he can log in and play on whatever device? Or can I install from the disk on both anyway? I haven't bought disks in a while so I don't know if the disk is needed on whatever console you are playing on. Kinda would like to have something to wrap as opposed to the online version, but I think that the online version is easier to deal with.

You can install from the disc to both consoles but can only play when the disc is inserted. I don't buy digital but I'm assuming if he is logged in on one console it won't let you log in on the other or it will kick you off.

Why then can I play NHL 19 on the Xbox One without the disc when I don't have EA Pass?

As for NHL 20 at $39.99 a nice price and may get it there if I don't get the EB Games PS4 Pro upgrade deal.

It was part of Games with Gold in June.

Someone said that before and I could not believe it. LOL! Heck you can still play online with it.

    • The Switch games still feel expensive. I was hoping we'd get the same % discount as our American friends (they seem to get 33% off, and we are getting 25%).

100% get the digital version, then you can play on both consoles at the same time. Just need to game share on the consoles by setting the home console to the other one and vice versa.

    • Ya get the digital version for sure. No point buying physical sport games. Next year it will be worthless.

I buy a physical copy all the time, and resell the game around April at about 20-30$ on Kijiji or Marketplace. You'd be amazed people actually buy at that price. I just suck it up and don't play any NHL until September once I receive the next year edition with 30% discount from preordering.

If you buy digital on the "home" Xbox I'm pretty sure you can play on both accounts. The kids share gold and can play games like COD modern warfare at the same time.

The trick is the main gold account holder can set a home console, that home console gives every account on that console gold access and access to all digital games the main account holder ever digitally purchased.

The gold account holder can always sign into another Xbox and enjoy Gold benefits as well as their purchased games, but cannot share it (assuming this console is not set as home console). However, the kick is that this non-home console, must be connected to the internet while it is in use by the gold account holder.

If you buy from say a place like EB Games or Best Buy that have rewards programs then getting a physical copy of them is worth it as you earn points. Also there is the thing too where at least if you have the physical copy you can trade it in or resell it. Personally I'd say no to Walmart @movieking and get the hard copy. There are only gains to getting the hard copy. Heck also while you can get rewards through Ebates and other sites (whatever it is called now) with digital I assume when buying from certain stores you get those same rewards buying a hard copy. Hard copy is still always better. Heck with EB Games they have the 7 day guarantee for Platinum members and they also have the thing where if you trade it back in before a certain period of time you are guaranteed to get $50 for a new release. Get .. a .. hard .. copy. : )

Buy the digital version you can play it on both consoles. If you buy the physical version you need the disc to play the game.

If you buy a disc you can resell it at some point or trade it in to EB Games or online or with someone you know and get something back @afterburn999.

Some people like myself like the physical discs as it helps build up your library/collection. I like seeing my huge collection of my sports games but that's just a personal touch for me.
