    • OP you should categorize this under Video games because it's a good deal and more people will see it that way.
I've been hearing great things about this game but the last thing my backlog needs right now is a 100 hour RPG. I just finally bought Spiderman a week ago and have still barely scratched the surface

    • I don't remember the last time I spent 100+ hours on a game. And this coming from a guy who is not a big fan of JRPG/Manga/Anime/Cosplay/Demons.

    • I don't even like jrpgs that much and this is still one of my favorite games on the ps4. Just a really cool, stylish game with a slick, fast turn based combat system and really interesting social sim aspects.

    • Echoing what almost everyone else said. For this price wicked entry into the series. I'm waiting on Royale 5 and see what new things come on that front.

Royal doesn’t come out till next year. It’s being released end of this year in japan (oct 31) so that’s a pretty long wait (safe to assume at least 6 months after since localization generally takes that long for Japanese games and expected release is 2020).

    • For people on the fence about getting it now or waiting for Royal - Royal will have a lot more content and your save file won’t transfer over to Royal.

    • Nice Find OP. I already have the game but for $18.89 its a no brainer for this amazing game.

This is what I was looking for thank you for the info.

Been holding out on P5 due to the amount of backlog and even though the price is pretty awesome, I've waited this long and might as well wait a bit more to get the "complete" experience

    • IMO it's worth getting this game for 20. Since royal is a ways out. And this an absolute great game and is pretty complete. We still don't even know what more they are bringing for royal. It better be an entirely new game to be honest since it's not dlc

    • I really want to pick this up, but 100 hours is a huge investment. 😞

    • This is a great game, I platinumed it and put over 250 hours into it. Square Enix needs to pay attention to this, Final Fantasy Franchise is going downhill fast and needs to go back to turn based and stop with all this hack and slash button mashing garbage they seem to think people want. This style is what Final Fantasy fans want, my only gripe with it is there is SOOOOOOOO much texting and dialog it was a bit much for me even as a fan of the game. Thank god for the skip option, probably would have been over 300 hrs if I had to read every single useless text your friends repeatedly send you, but I guess you can't complain about value. If you like turn based RPG, don't pass this up.

    • I have never understood what is so great about this game. People rave about it. I couldn't get through the 20 hour 'intro'. I guess I am just not into rpgs. Great price.

    • The greatest game of the PS3 *AND* PS4 generations for under twenty bucks? Nuclear hot deal.

You're looking at hundreds of hours of sheer gaming bliss for an amazing price. If you're one of the few people left who hasn't enjoyed this masterpiece I *highly* recommend it. The last game this good was Persona 4 waaaaaaaaaay back on the PS2.

Same game, new content and new character (one is announced). You can play an extra semester (part of the previews state this).

Ahhh couldn't have said it better myself. It's not even that the FF frainchise is going down necessarily. The storytelling and atmospheres are good, but the battle system ruins it, AI partners that are doing god knows what, no planning or strategy just run around and try to manipulate enemy aggro and attack attack attack.

One gripe I have about this game is that you can't use the share button or share play after the first sequence in the game. If you like to play w/ friends far away it won't work, if you like to clip stuff it wont work, not even screenshots. We found a very convoluted workaround but wish we could just use share play!

On an unrelated note, just bought this game digitally on PSN a week or 2 ago. Feels super bad :( any chance of price matching? Prolly not, but even for the 25$ I say it was well worth it. Very enjoyable RPG, especially if you've recently been to Japan, they nail the aesthetic and atmosphere.
