Originally released on March 10, Call of Duty: Warzone features two game modes -- Battle Royale and Plunder. Battle Royale pits you against up to 149 players for the right to be the last one standing, while Plunder lets you search for in-game cash with teammates that can be used to unlock more equipment, upgrades and loot.

The free-to-play title supports up to 150 players per match and cross-platform multiplayer, which means you can play with your friends, family and frenemies no matter what system they own -- note that PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are required to access multiplayer gameplay on PS4 and Xbox One (respectively).

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now via the Blizzard Shop on PC, PlayStation Store on PS4 or Microsoft Store on Xbox One. All versions are digital and playable immediately after purchase.

    • I guess this is informative for people who don't know, but COD: Warzone is free 2 play. I wouldn't necessarily call it a deal. Its a battle royale type game like fortnite, there is some differences obviously and a new mode. Also cross-play/cross-progression which is cool.

There will be micro-transactions to make money obviously as with every F2P game.

    • Unlike fortnite this has more of a pay to win model, battlepass/cash gets you weapon upgrades ect compared to fortnite were it's cosmetics and dances.

Paying for anything isn't a requirement. Free is free.

If the micro transactions were simply cosmetics I’d have no problem. I really like how Fortnite does it.

i find fortnite kinda dumb in the way that sombody is shooting you so you build a house in like 5 seconds.

Literally has nothing to do with the conversation. We were talking about their microtransanctions vs COD’s. COD’s appears to be pay to win (according to people in this thread) whereas Fortnite’s is strictly cosmetics.

In regards to the gameplay mechanics, it’s personal preference. Building is part of the game so if you’re bad at that, then yes you’ll have a bad time. You can practice in Playground mode though. Helped me get better at it. And with skill based match making I play people on my level now. While sometimes I play crazy builders, most of the times I play people my skill level. I like the building as it adds a strategy element rather than simply spray and pray.

    • Would be nice if they fixed the corrupt data bug instead of focussing on new releases! This burns me!

      Buy the Battle Pass
those weapons unlock for free, just have to level up the battle pass. won't get all the fancy cosmetics or unique weapon blueprints which really have no affect on performance since you can unlock the attachments with natural progression and put it together yourself.
