View allBut not sure how it has aged in 2021 though, I probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much in 2021 with so many good games out since
If you've seen any PS5 games in action or played them there are virtually no load times in games like Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart which transitions jumping directly into new levels instantly, Demon's Souls,
Spider-Man Miles Morales, transitions out of buildings instantly, or even games built for PS5 over PS4.
I use a Solid State Hybrid drive on my PS4 Pro and the PS4 version of Immortals Fenyx Rising takes 1 minute and 30 seconds to load up a save still.
On the PS5 version it takes 4 seconds and runs the game much better than the PS4 Pro does (60 frames per second on PS5 at 4K).
I have a Gaming PC with a RTX 2080 Ti and it loads up GTA 5 Online way slower than my PS5 does despite there not being a GTA 5 PS5 port yet.
Digital Foundry shows PS5 storage APIs put to use when done correctly.
Load time of save file on PS5: 1.5 seconds on PS5, 8.5 seconds on XBox Series X for Resident Evil Village (8).

In Digital Foundry's comparisons games like Resident Evil Village decisively load faster on a PS5 than it does on other systems.
PCIe > SATA and PCIe SSD >>>>>>> SATA HD
The PS5 is faster because it has newer architecture with a very fast PCIe interface for the SSD. And yes, it's very fast at loading games, just as my PCIe 4 SSDs are lighting fast at loading PC games.
Now if the PS4 Pro had a similar PCIe interface, then we could really put these somewhat-spurious "SSD structure" claims to the test, as well as compare PS4 game loading. But as it is, it would be like me timing my top-end gaming rig with WD Black PCiE 4 SSDs against some SATA SSD and HD models. LOL

Yeah kinda like how the last of us looked in ps4 vs ps3
PS4 games running on PS5 still load a lot faster than PS4 Pro but it uses the old PS4/PC-style format of loading games.
Getting into GTA V Online PS4 on PS5 saves 1 minute and 20 seconds on PS5 vs PS4 Pro.
For PS5, it jumps from 40% to 100% instantly, while on PS4 Pro the percentage progress will load slowly from 0% to 100% in the loading status.
Astros Playroom was *amazing*. Shortly after I beat Miles Morales. And now I'm playing through Horizon Zero Dawn and it's living upmtonthe hype so far (though the face animations are...scary at times).
I think as I get older I've done a better job of buying fewer games when they're on sale. Has helped me focus on whatever I'm currently playing. After HZD I'll probably start Days Gone or Ratchet and Clank (2016). Out of the games I've listed only Miles Morales was a full purchase, loving the PS+ collection and PAH offers.
God of War
Spider-man would be nicer, but it's got to be a top-end exclusive - plus, GoW was already given out with the PS5 freebies, so like Days Gone it'll be less of a financial hit for Sony to give it away (again).
90 yrs old. I will play it when I have time ....
It’s part of the PS Plus Collection on PS5, like other PS Plus games you need an active account to play the games, while Play at Home offers remain free even if you don’t have Plus.
Edit: had to do the same for HZD
I have the disc version of the game only (not complete edition) and I was able to download fine. Any one else with a complete edition disc having issues?
You already own the following products, which conflict with the product you're trying to buy:
Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition
So I do have CD version - not sure how I can upgrade it so that I can get rid of the the CD....
