    • It says 'Users will receive DLC by March 2019.' in the product description. How many DLCs are there? and How many of them are released after March 2019?

    • Great price Indeed. But going to wait longer, too much of a gaming backlog already.

I believe all the dlc is already out. There were 3 additional chapters in their dlc called "the city that never sleeps"

I played through two of them and they are pretty good.

The base game at $20 is a no brainer

    • Amazing to see that early buyers of the game get screwed again by not having the season pass discounted, but the complete edition cheaper than the season pass. I mean I expect this with BioWare or Ubisoft, but not Sony...

    • I bought it for $35 back in May with no DLC... I really wanted to play it, and now I'm upset

I feel you on this very upsetting they don't discount the season pass.

I ended up buying the PS4 bundle and it came with the deluxe edition of the game so I wasn't to sad but I can see if I didn't get the dlc and seeing this price now would definitely hurt me

Season pass was on sale for $22.43 back in March when I got it so it has been discounted before. Guess you'll just have to be patient and watch out for a sale again.

22.43 is hardly an attractive price when you consider you're getting less than 6 hours of new content, most of which is apparently just 'ok' compared with the main game.

The easy solution is to just not buy it. But it is a little bit frustrating to see the base game -- 30 hours or so of content -- selling for less than the pass ever has..

It's all perspective. No I don't think 22 was a great deal but it's the first time the season pass went on sale IIRC and it was relatively new with the last dlc just came out a few months earlier. I had already waited until it reached a price I was ok with especially to support the developer for the game I enjoyed. Again, like I said, its all perspective. If youre not ok with the price, dont buy it until it reaches the price point that's acceptable to you. My point is that the season pass had already been discounted before and will undoubtedly has its price further reduced going forward like all games.

Don't disagree with any of this. I just question the publisher logic when they make people wait forever for a reasonable price point, and when they don't decrease the price of DLC to keep pace with gradual price reductions on the base game. I mean if it hits $8 bucks in 2022, is anybody going to care at that point?

As a general rule, I lose most of my interest in DLC after a couple of years. You forget how to play certain games and tend to move on after enough time has passed.

Why do you think that when Sony has been ripping off gamers this entire generation? They are among the worst for anti consumer practices and horrible prices but people give them a pass because they release a couple good exclusives. At least Ubisoft and EA actually offer good deals on their own platforms.

    • I bought a PS4 primarily to play Spider-Man. Because I’ve played almost everything on Xbox i thought it would open up a bunch of exclusives.
Really disappointed in that decision... missed the sale on the DLC and sales for good games are few and far between.
Spider-Man was amazing but I can’t say that I’ve enjoyed any of the other dozen or so exclusives that I bought. I have Horizon still unopened so maybe that one will make up for all the disappointment.

Not sure why the PS4 has outsold the Xbox.

Because PS4 has more variety of genre for their exclusives games and Xbox left a bad taste for general consumers in their beginning run (always online, no second hand games, kinect binding. etc.).

PS and XBox fans are set and there are some who will get both. So, these don't matter. However, the general public is the market where they fight for, and it's not really friendly to these consumers when you have to considering those beginning run problems...even though 2 out of 3 didn't go out of the gate, but the damage is done when we, as games/consumers, created such a tsunami (i think it will happen to Stadia too)

      I expect this with BioWare
Let's not mince the culprit here. BioWare was a fine company in the past. Then the behemoth EA consumed them like they consume other studios and monetized their good intellectual property until it was ruined and the studio was a shell of itself. EA has done this to 10+ studios.

Remember BioWare did the following without EA:
      Baldurs gate
      Neverwinter
Star wars knights of the old republic
Dragon Age (it started development in 2002 and was developed 5 years prior to EA acquiring them)

Then EA entered the picture and slowly the quality of the studio dropped as it was monetized and the former passion they had was sucked from them like what EA has done to other acquisitions.

The first 10-20 hours of Horizon is super slow and boring but it gets really good in the second half of the game. I've had mostly the same experience with my PS4 as you, bought it just to play exclusives and have found most of them very overrated. If you haven't played them already give Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy a go.

    • Spider-man is fantastic! 100% the game when it came out. Stand alone game is worth $20.
I bought the game again for the dlc and did the new game plus but it was kinda underwhelming. The dlc is in no way mind blowing but it's a nice little add on/side story if you want a little bit more.

It's because Xbox butchered the launch of their console. I had a 360 but went with the PS4 due to their focus on games. Xbox has corrected itself recently with the strongest console, game pass, acknowledging PC gamers, backwards compatibility, etc. Unfortunately its too late to win this gen but who knows about the next.

I would recommend Bloodborne, God of War, and Last of Us. My personal favorite exclusives.
