Stay safe by staying home with PlayStation, because their Play At Home initiative is back for 2021!

This year's Play At Home event will run from March to June, with free games and limited-time offers available to the PlayStation community each month -- we've listed the offers available in March below (offers from April to June will be announced at a later date).

  • Starting March 1 -- Get Ratchet & Clank (PS4) for free until March 31
  • Starting March 25 -- Get extended 90-day free access to Funimation, a video streaming service with over 13,000 hours of anime

Originally launched in April 2020, PlayStation's Play At Home initiative was created to encourage gamers to stay at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to participate, as all PlayStation gamers will have access to Play At Home freebies and offers throughout the event.

Ratchet & Clank is available for free starting March 1 at 11:00 PM ET and yours to keep forever as long as you add it to your library before the deadline.

      Not a PSN+ subscriber here and never will be (don't play enough) so Im very happy. Free is free.

      I used to be PSN+, for YEARS. I haven't renewed in over 3 years due to limited time to play. Being able to play this awesome title for free, and introduce my kids to it is fantastic.

      It doesn't matter if other people already have it, the people that don't will enjoy it.

      That was made possible by Sony when they offered some games for free during the covid lockdown last year. I expect that not to change.

      I may sign up for a month and binge the final season of Attack on Titan. I think all the English dubbed episodes will be out by end of April. Almost can't believe we've been watching this since 2013.

      For most people who were subscribers in march 2018 and still are, it may seem like a disappointing choice.

      But to be honest, the other three titles will probably disappoint you if you have been a subscriber for years as this promotion is targeting people who are not PS plus subscribers.

      If I remember correctly, there was a similar free trial sort of deal for funimation last March ish, and I don't think AOT was part of their library. Nonetheless things may have changed, but either way, free is free. Lots of other good shows to watch either way 🙌🙌

      Ratchet and Clank is already part of the PS+ Collection, free games for PS5 owners with a PS+ sub. I think it offers some enhancements.
