    • Hilarious that they're removing a component (the disk drive) and calling it a feature.

Remember when the Xbox 360 had an SKU without a hard drive?

It is the cheapest version, they need to make it clear that it doesn't have a disc drive on the box. What would you rather they do?

    • Almost the same price as the elite series 2 controller lol

    • Bought this unit from Amazon during their Prime Day Sale. It came with an extra Phantom White Xbox One controller and three download codes (Minecraft, Sea of Theives, and Forza Horizon 3). So, maybe better deals are around the corner. I don't mind not having a disc drive as I often wait for games to be heavily discounted before buying them. I always buy consoles at the end of their cycles.

    • Prime Day had this beat with an extra controller included but this isn't bad... It just could be better.

Personally I'd rather they redesigned it to be more compact instead of just pulling the drive.

I buy things later and I enjoy owning my games. The option to play my games later is huge. Also the ability for this to play 4K video is why I got the Xbox One S original and others should still go that route. Glad to see not loads of people jumping on this. At local EB Games I did not see anybody buying one thus far. I am also not seeing it pushed at other places either.

    • I’d like to trade my Xbox s to this versionif there is a deal, don’t buy any blue ray disks at all, and loading all games on hard drive is better, can play with co-workers after work.

Just open it and take out the drive, you'll have the same thing lol

    • I only own like 6 disc-based games and actively avoid getting more, wouldn't mind a cheaper version of the X or the next console to come with a cheaper disc-free model.

I don’t know that we can replace the hdd in Xbox one s , maybe that’s thee case for the original Xbox one. As I remember only PS4 can swap the HDD. Thanks.

    • If they made it more compact I would have jumped on it, something around the size of a TV box I mean.

    • I would get this if I wanted an Xbox. I buy all digital anyways. Swapping discs is a pain in the ass.

Here is an idea for you. Just don’t use BD drive on your Xbox S! Here I saved you some money.
