Electronic Arts Electronic Arts: EA Access is Now Available on PlayStation 4 EA Access is Now Available on PS4!

get this deal

Play some of EA's finest games as much as you want, because EA Access is now available on PlayStation 4!

Originally launched on Xbox in 2014, EA Access is a subscription service from EA that lets you download and play a selection of games from the EA Vault. There are over 40 titles available including Battlefield V, NHL 19, Star Wars Battlefront II and more, with new titles added every month. Other membership perks include early-access trials to upcoming games and a 10% discount on digital EA games.

Subscriptions are priced at $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year (equivalent to $2.49 per month) and you can sign up through the PlayStation Store links below.

All EA Access games can be played via the free EA Access Hub PS4 app and this deal is notable for sports fans who purchase games every year, as all of EA's sports franchises are added to the EA Vault -- for reference, NHL 19 was added just seven months after its release.

EA Access is available to all PS4 owners and a PlayStation Plus account is not required to subscribe (PS+ is required for any online multiplayer). Note that PS4 and Xbox EA Access subscriptions are separate and not cross-platform compatible.

    • Not gonna lie, list is packed.
A steal for $30/yr, most of these games were over $30 at launch.

Do I want to support EA tho?🙄

    • Can you share this with anohter PS4 like other digital PS4 games?

    • Had this for a couple of years on Xbox. Great service if you are into sports game and have missed a few action games over the years. Never buy the month always get the year, it's a great deal. I'm making assumption that the list of games is the same as on Xbox. However the only limit is that it's only EA games, on Xbox we have Gamepass which is more diverse.

Great for people just getting into game and want a bunch of games to play. They also add their new games 9-12 months after they come out.

    • This is a great deal for me as I usually end up buying some of these games when they end up on sale anyways. Looking forward to UFC, Need For Speed, Madden and Live.

    • No but Fifa 19 will be. Usually what happens with the sports games is that you can receive a small discount if you buy them near launch with EA Access and then if you wait until around April or May they will put in in the vault (games you can access) for the last few months of the games shelf life.

So I guess they're only giving you "early access" to these but you'll still have to fork over decent $ to buy the full game.

    • Great value for those new to the system especially.

But for anyone who has had PS for a while they may have most of the games they'll actually play so a year might not be worth the investment for some. New games offer a 2-3 day trial of the full version but you're looking at a good 6 months after release or so before the '20 games are in the vault. So if you're buying for that reason you could end up very disappointed. Just an FYI for those not as familiar with the service as those on Xbox.

Hard to go wrong with $30 for a year of any gaming service though.

Yep. You'll get a discount of all EA games though making the value even more worth it.

Personally after I had my system for 2 years I didn't find any value in the year as I was just buying the newer games on discount anyway. But everyone is different. Anyone I know buying a new system I push them towards the year service though as for any beginner it's a perfect start to building a collection even if it's service based.

I'm still glad they have the month option though. I have considerably more time to play in the summer vs. other months, so buying a month or two and cramming through the games I want to play might make more sense. If you don't care about sports games, that may be the better route to go. They only add 3-4 non-sports games each year, so waiting and then playing them all together is arguably more cost effective.
