View allAs for ebgames, boxing sale..pathetic..looks like they really want 2 go bankrupt ☹
So my 3 PS4 and 1 3DS game combo originally only triggered the Buy 3 Save 30% level and they ended up having to manually discount each one so it was 40% off.
Worked fine for me. I bought 2 PS4 games and 2 Switch games, got the 40% discount without hassle. Perhaps some stores pull this trick if they think they can get away with it.
Or, more likely, some sales staff are confused/uninformed.
As for games at EB Games eh going to be hard to resist getting Rise of the Tomb Raider at that price ...
but then I want NHL 20 somehow and thinking of buying that digital to save a few.
This strategy also fuels the collector market that Nintendo has fostered.
All of this is done very intentionally.
Systematically, they only set up the Buy More Save More to apply to PS4, Xbone, and Switch games. I bought 3 PS4 games and 1 3DS game and it didn't trigger the discount, and when they checked that's how it worked. In the end they gave me the 40%, because it doesn't list the restrictions, but beware if that's your strategy.
It seems EB Games, BB all have meh deals... hoping Amazon had something more interesting but I dont have so high hope :-(.
most of those prices you can get now, at least via the digital sales already underway.
They must know what they're doing I guess, because they seem to be making money...but I'm not buying.
Come on Ebgames...
But this BF they supposedly sold more than ever before in a single week. So, although I'm not happy about it, they seem to know what they're doing...
I think this year's Boxing Day is fairly lackluster
Thanks for posting OP
Edit: got the pictures from Twitter, that's all they had, not sure if what I posted is the full flyer.
