    • Great find! I wonder why it's gone down so much when it's only been out a month.

    • ea games always go down so quick after a month. they'll find a way to get that money you saved on this deal out of your wallet anyway

    • I wonder how cheap this will be during Black Friday or even Boxing Day.

Are we looking at a low until 2019? This question goes out to the EA strategicians.

    • EA Games other then FIFA usually always drop 1/3 the price after the first 30 days

    • the question should be how is ea still able to sell their games at full price 80.00 on pre order and release when they always come out with much needed patches even 30 days after release.

    • Wow. Nice price already. Makes me wish I waited since we only now got a club starting.

Lots of people won't bother to wait for 30 days to save $30 off.
My friend is a prime example, I told him many times games drop in prices very quickly lately but he still goes and preorder them lol.
He makes a lot of money and doesn't really have any hobby other than gaming so no where else to spend it (after the necessary stuff).

Also lots of reviewers on youtube probably buys them on launch date and review then return to ebgames within the 100% satisfaction guarantee period. Put towards another preorder or buy gift / visa cards.

    • I got this game from EA day one. First NHL game since 2k4 for me. Fun game, but holy crap does microtransactions break experience. I'm always facing a HUT team of Connor McDavids online.

    • Thanks OP!! This is the only game I play.

    • EB games site says the game (XBOX One version) comes with a bonus.. Called EB and they said they think it's HUT points. Anyone know for sure what the bonus is?

A couple of buddies bought first day and are disappointed with it - I might skip it this year and just play some of the AAA games coming out.

    • Thanks OP. Gonna grab this for sure for the best system ever XBox One X.

    • Honestly it's not a bad price, just wait a month or 2 if you don't like the game and you can probably trade it back in to EB for at least 40. I did that last year with NHL 18, couldn't stand it, and ended up trading it back on a double trade in day in like Jan or Feb or something for 40. Ended up breaking even since I got it at 40 at the time.

    • I got the game for 35$ the last two years. Sony usually runs a flash sale in November. And you can probably expect a 39.99 Black Friday and boxing day for the physical game.

IMO micro transactions have ruined video games... they are the worst. I also could care less for loot boxes. Bring back when games were good and didn't involve all the useless crap.

    • Me and my buddies used to play older NHLs on split screen... But I take it everyone plays hut online and not Team vs?

I mean if it's full teams of mcdavids, why not just play with stacked custom teams? Or if ur lazy play Olympic teams.

I mean the cash grab is insanely genius for ea, it's what allows them to release the same crap Every year, by making people pay for reusing pixels and profiles and then making em buy them back in next year's game...

But with no PC release I won't be playing NHL for awhile... Guess that's actually a good thing in retrospect

    • Yeah, and it cost hella crazy amount of ingame money to open packs without paying. You wouldn't spend on the Bronze pack and save for the Gold packs because thats what makes sense, yet to not play it 24/7, it takes time to get enough ingame currency.

It's still fun to play since I haven't touched a NHL game in years, but one thing that annoys me, and maybe it's just me, is if I tap a button during a pass, the guy will do that action screwing up my run. So it feels like lag input when really they want you to tap the button one at a time, can't spam the shoot button LOL....but that makes me unhappy.

    • I'd rather pay the extra $7 to play it now than wait for black friday.
