Posted January 18: Get $1 (plus fees) Inaugural Flights
Porter is jetting off to new destinations, and they're celebrating with $1.00 inaugural flights for a limited time!
To claim this offer, just enter the promo code PDE24U when searching for your flight.
While Porter is advertising this as a $1.00 inaugural flight, note that airport fees and taxes apply on top, and your flight cost will actually range between $81.80 and $96.32.
And - when you are on an inaugural flight - you’ll receive a $150.00 voucher for your next flight with Porter, plus a chance to win a free round trip. The inaugural voucher and prizes will be provided at your departure gate.
This offer is valid for the first 50 customers only, so hurry and book your trip!

View allAnd now that you mention it again, being able to look back and say you were once on an inaugural flight sounds awesome...I missed this deal, but hopefully I can take some trips myself this year.
Do keep us posted on how it went!
1. Getting lunch and dinner with friends in Toronto for the 19.5 hours that I’m there before heading back to Vancouver
2. First time ever taking an inaugural flight. I want free cake before my flight lol
3. Porter apparently has (hopefully working) free full-speed wifi on their E2 flights, and I work remotely so I plan on making full use of the wifi to make it my office in the skies (and make flying on weekdays work for me)
4. I need to take Porter’s NY flight later in the year, and this inaugural flight comes with $150 flight credit which basically covers the cost of this latter flight for me (even when accounting for my Flair self-connection flight)
As much as I love everything about airports, this would exhaust me.
Nevertheless, best wishes on your travels. I would love to hear how it went!
where? when do they do this? all the busses say $50+ for me
Wish I had a reason to go
If you are quick, you may be able to snatch those seats shortly. I paid a total of $269.xx retrun for 2 passengers (i.e. .$130 per person).
Good luck!
There might be a temp hold on your card but it won’t invoice.
Note this is only the 24 hour policy not cancellation due to weather / no more flight / COVID rules
Note that there is no law in Canada forcing a 24 hour cancellation policy like there is in the USA, though those that are flying into the land of the free must comply.
I have a lot of AC credits, even though it is my own money, it seems as if it's free.
They also just expanded the airport. It's massive for a city of 1 million. They have space to do it.
Note: Porter isn't really a startup. They're well known out east, where they've been in operation since 2006.
The customer service at Porter is way beyond Flair.
Porter's also been in operation for 17 years. They've proven themselves, which is fueling their growth.
In for the YVR-YYZ inaugural. RFD party?
I guess for people that like spending time on planes, if you were coming in Feb 22nd from Toronto on PD 351 and booked PD 354 on the way back, you would technically get $300 in vouchers and be back in Toronto the same day.
We now have:
Air Canada
Westjet
Air Transat
Lynx
Flair
Porter
This can't be sustainable... I wonder who will win.
Btw i upvoted for seeing Flighty.
Flying from halifax back to Toronto is not as bad. 7AM flight, but there's bus that starts at 4:20 AM and 5:20 AM to get to the airport in time.
Now I have to figure out how to get to YYC from Vancouver lol
