I'm surprised at how smooth the whole promo was

American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card AMEX POINTS BACK BONUS 12,875 pts bonus pts included
3 more x 50K one-way flights upcoming (total of 200K booked at 25% = 50K back, worth it)
I think changing destination and original could possibly work, but there's nothing explicit that I saw in the T&C about that.

If you look at your PNR's they will show a time in UTC. Anything before 0700 UTC time should be good but be prepared for a slugfest with aeroplan....
That way if I want to take some trips later this year I'll be able to take advantage of the one free change rule (for awards booked before the end of July 5th) and get 25% back.
at 25% that's 75000 AP returned
Now debating maybe keeping the Aeroplan Reserve card at $599 renewal in July
vs. gambling (close AP Reserve, save $599, open new AMEX Aeroplan, pay $120 fee) as the T&C didn't "force" payment on the AP Reserve or AP card, just saying account needs to be "active"
"Your Card Account and Aeroplan account must be open and in good standing at the time the Offer is fulfilled for the Aeroplan points back to be awarded"
or only the first one
So I am guessing I am good to go now? I had already registered my aeroplan number. So here is hoping!
Would they have issues doing this?
let's see if anything ever comes back. Will get P4 to apply AMEX Aeroplan card ($120 fee one) after cancelling the Reserve

100k+ members are allowed member+2 people and your allowed to nominate someone so they’re allowed to use the upgrade without you on the flight or make it a total of 4 people.
I’ve only used the upgrades a couple times, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
I have Amex Reserve, too, but we are a family of 4. The flights showed eupgradable but I couldnot use my eupgrade credit online(showing "not available"). I called AC and got the email confirmation email while on hold, but later CSR told me I was not eligible because I could only upgrade up to 1 person(in addition to myself). Today my upgrade was gone, and I am totally confused. Will call AC again.
My first time hearing "nominate" concept, too.
so I think it's a valid workaround
My P4 faces the same issue - AP Reserve renews $599 in July, flying in Sep 2022. He may apply via GCR for regular Aeroplan AMEX $120 - $60 credit
People need to start adding to Wiki/Thread summary for FAQ, otherwise we get repeat questions
I should also mention that the second traveller is not part of an Aeroplan family and isn't even an Aeroplan member, despite my efforts.
