    • It's clear you can change dates, so I assume you can change routing as long as destination and origin remain?

I think changing destination and original could possibly work, but there's nothing explicit that I saw in the T&C about that.

†Limited time offer to get up to 25% Aeroplan points back (“Offer”): Applies to the Basic Cardmember of an eligible American Express®* Aeroplan® Card, American Express®* Aeroplan® Reserve Card, or American Express®* Aeroplan® Business Reserve Card account (the “Card Account”). Offer starts June 21, 2022 at 00:01 EST and ends July 5, 2022 at 03:00 a.m. EST (inclusive) (the “Offer Period”). The Offer is intended for, and will only apply to, the Card Account of the Basic Cardmember who is the recipient of this email and who registers during the Offer Period to receive the Offer for the Card Account (the “Participating Cardmember ”). Participating Basic Cardmembers will get either 20% or 25% of the Aeroplan points redeemed during the Offer Period back for Eligible Redemptions based on the Card Account they have. “Eligible Redemptions" are those made directly from the Participating Basic Cardmember’s Aeroplan account linked to their Card Account during the Offer Period for one of the following products or services with travel dates completed by December 31, 2022 at 03:00 a.m. EST (inclusive) (the “Travel Period”): one way or roundtrip (including multi city) flight rewards, Air Canada Vacations® packages comprising both a flight and hotel, as well as hotels or car rentals redeemed at https://aeroplan.cxloyalty.com/. Before any redemption can be considered an Eligible Redemption, you must first register for the Offer by either clicking the “Register now” button included in this email, or by visiting the designated landing page of this Offer, entering the Aeroplan number associated with your Account, accepting the Terms and Conditions of the Offer, and selecting the digital “Register now” button. Aeroplan points earned pursuant to this Offer will only be awarded to the Basic Cardmember. Redemptions made by Authorized Supplementary Cardmembers with their own Aeroplan account linked to their Supplementary Card account during the Offer Period are not eligible for this Offer. All Aeroplan points redeemed prior to June 21, 2022 at 00:01 EST, or after July 5, 2022, at 03:00 a.m. EST are not considered as Eligible Redemptions. The Offer only applies to new redemptions; previous redemptions that are cancelled and then rebooked during the Offer Period are not eligible for this Offer. This Offer cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Through this Offer and during the Offer Period, American Express®* Aeroplan® Cardmembers will be able to get 20% Aeroplan points back, American Express®* Aeroplan® Reserve and American Express®* Aeroplan® Business Reserve Cardmembers will be able to get 25% Aeroplan points back, which are calculated based on the Eligible Redemptions during the Offer Period and credited based on the terms below. If a combination of points and cash are used, the Offer only applies to the portion of points redeemed. If the redemption does not qualify for this Offer, you will not get any Aeroplan points back. Any redemption reversals or cancellations on the original Eligible Redemption will cancel the Aeroplan points that would have otherwise been earned back through the Offer. If the travel dates of the original Eligible Redemption are changed, the Offer will still be awarded to the Participating Cardmember’s Account so long as travel is still completed by December 31, 2022 at 03:00 a.m. EST, respecting the Travel Period of the Offer, and will be awarded based on the updated number of points redeemed. The number of Aeroplan points eligible to be credited back pursuant to the Offer will be credited back to the Participating Cardmember’s Aeroplan account within 6 to 8 weeks after the travel is completed. This Offer may be changed, withdrawn or extended at any time, terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice, and is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash. I couldn’t find the exact time on their page. In this case I usually assume midnight EST to be safe, that’s when their call centres close. But definitely book before then and not wait till last minute

    • FYI the offer is 25% back in redemption for Amex Aeroplan Reserve and 20% back in redemption for the Amex Aeroplan core card. The two cards definitely have a big fee and benefits difference though.
You have to book your new award/PNR by 3 am EST today (July 5th) and register beforehand. So not much time left but might as well book some cheap latitude fares, I did 6 ORD-YYZ for 20K-22K AP and $8 in taxes each.
That way if I want to take some trips later this year I'll be able to take advantage of the one free change rule (for awards booked before the end of July 5th) and get 25% back.

      at 25% that's 75000 AP returned

Now debating maybe keeping the Aeroplan Reserve card at $599 renewal in July
vs. gambling (close AP Reserve, save $599, open new AMEX Aeroplan, pay $120 fee) as the T&C didn't "force" payment on the AP Reserve or AP card, just saying account needs to be "active"

      or only the first one
There's no mention of any redemption limit, so multiple trips should work as long as you meet the requirements (ie: have an Amex Aeroplan card tied to your account, registered to promo, and travel completed by 3am EST Dec 31 2022).

I think it's fine, as long as you tell them up front (and like who'll get the meals or who gets to "sleep") so they know you are not double dipping :P

    • Aeroplan members (25k-75k) are only allowed to use eUpgrades on themselves and one other person on the flight. If you make a reservation of 3+ it won’t offer you the option to upgrade at all with eUPs. It’s one of the pitfalls of the new system.

100k+ members are allowed member+2 people and your allowed to nominate someone so they’re allowed to use the upgrade without you on the flight or make it a total of 4 people.

I’ve only used the upgrades a couple times, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Thank you for the explanation. By saying "pitfalls of the new system", do you mean they previously allowed for more than 2?

Yes, I had latitude fare. I think I found why, we can only upgrade for 2 max. :'(

I have Amex Reserve, too, but we are a family of 4. The flights showed eupgradable but I couldnot use my eupgrade credit online(showing "not available"). I called AC and got the email confirmation email while on hold, but later CSR told me I was not eligible because I could only upgrade up to 1 person(in addition to myself). Today my upgrade was gone, and I am totally confused. Will call AC again.

My first time hearing "nominate" concept, too.

    • I'm 25K and I also have an Amex Reserve card. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I didn't nominate anyone (not sure what that means to be honest). I just filtered my flight search for eUpgrade-ability. The inbound flight was eligible and outbound was listed as waitlist. So I booked and requested eUpgrades immediately after booking.

I should also mention that the second traveller is not part of an Aeroplan family and isn't even an Aeroplan member, despite my efforts.

    • Thanks!

Just booked my trip in September.

I plan on cancelling my Amex Aeroplan Reserve prior to my travel dates. Late July is my anniversary date and I don't plan on renewing.

Do I still get points even if the card was cancelled prior to the travel date completion?
From the T&C - "Your Card Account and Aeroplan account must be open and in good standing at the time the Offer is fulfilled for the Aeroplan points back to be awarded.", so no.
It didn't say you need to book or have the card NOW at registration and T&C just says you need an ACTIVE card at travel
      so I think it's a valid workaround

My P4 faces the same issue - AP Reserve renews $599 in July, flying in Sep 2022. He may apply via GCR for regular Aeroplan AMEX $120 - $60 credit

i represent the lion's share (read 100%) of the funding of the pool, and am an amex reserve cardholder. but the redemption technically comes from our family pool.
will i only get a pro-rated amount refunded? any data points from the TD promo last year?
I am also the rep for the family, and my share is about 90%+, all redemptions (and refund upon cancellation) is prorated based on my share so far.
