If your close to a Walmart in a small/medium size city you will have better luck. The Walmart in my city had these until almost Christmas last year.

    • Can't wait. We stock up on the regular set every year as makes great birthday gifts for a wide range of kids. Still have one left from last year as we forgot about it in the back of the closet!

    • If you are getting this for a kid to just get started on LEGO, baseplates are pretty much a necessity for max play value out of these classic sets. This 900 box does not include any.
While most generally frown upon 3rd party/knockoffs, for something like baseplates I will make an exception.
      My kids use these, https://www.amazon.ca/NextX-Baseplate-S ... th=1&psc=1
At half the cost of a genuine Lego plate, I got them in multiple colours.
Minifigures are also a must for the fun factor (here, knockoffs are an absolute no-no). CITY "starter" sets will get you 4 figures and a small vehicle. You can get them for under $10 on sale. This is usually the cheapest way to start off on figs.
