No matter how high I crank the brightness, I can't see any of the bands. Anyone else having this issue? Any fix?
TV is now back at full price. Will have to call in the morning.
If you’re connecting a PC and are ok with 4k@30hz or just an old console/DVD player then your normal cables (that are probably HDMI 1.4) will be fine.

As for the TV itself, I compared it next to the IPS monitor I have. Twitch streams (non HDR) looked very washed out compared to the picture on my monitor, but with HDR content (such as the grand tour), it looked just as good as my (fairly expensive) IPS monitor. Going to play around with the picture settings to see if I can get regular content look slightly less washed out, but overall I'm very happy with what I got for the price!
Ha , thanks. Some manufacturers are better at listing the details then others...
I just don't want to add a HDMI switch to all the stuff on the TV stand lol
But still tempted to get.
Edit: I currently use Netflix on my MiBox, which has known issues with the Haier TV and HDCP. I guess with a Roku TV there won't be a need for watching Netflix on my MiBox anymore as long as the Netflix app on Roku has no issues displaying 4K content.
I go through a screen every 16 months so this is a departure from that. It runs 16 hours a day for work and that's a ton of hours so it'll go through quite the test. For the record, I use LG's and Samsung and the Samsung wins the reliability game every time. We bought the 55MU7000 from Samsung a couple of weeks ago too so I'll compare both. Thanks for all the info on this product!
The upscaler is quite amazing for a TV at this price - very clear. I tested it by casting from a Sony Experia and playing back some MKV 1080 and 720 files.
Not sure of the bandwidth out at 4K.
The Wifi is very good and the sound is also very good.
Overall an amazing TV at this price.
Does this models playback support a X264 & X265 HEVC codec wrapper ?
Can someone comment on the 4K upscaler image quality ?
4K HDMI output ? - I see it has HDMI 2.0 vs HDMI 2.1 what is the bandwidth output @4K please be 60HZ.
Thanks guys !
Yes I did do some googling but did not find answers.
Pretty sure Canada will be treated much the same as Mexico is, has and will be.
Now we're just viewed as another #sh!thole country....right?
