    • Not sure it's worth getting a 4K TV that's only 60Hz these days?

Why not? Most movie and TV content is 24 FPS anyway.

The 120 Hz motion interpolated soap opera effect is just awful.

    • Is it cheaper in store?

    • So these are my observations:

      Vizio > Hisense > Haier

I think the Hisense is good enough that with calibration , it could make a very decent home theater or gaming TV.

HDMI 2.0 caps at 60fps anyways... same cap for PS4 pro and xbone (and shield), which accounts for most 4k content. There are some minor advantages to 120hz (i.e. movies 24p multiple perfectly/no pull down) but 60hz is fine for most people. Plus the cheapest 120hz tv will likely cost twice (or close to) as much as this.

Basically 120hz is a luxury but might be the most unimportant luxury on a tv right now. Not to mention most 120hz tv only have HDMI 2.0 so when you can actually feed (except direct streaming) 120hz content from say a ps5, pc, etc you will need a new tv.

    • I wish all these under $500 deal had 4 HDMI inputs like the haier for last year etc. I know I could get a HDMI swith but would be nice just to have the 4 from the start lol.

I wonder if they have it in store for cheaper :)

    • I got one of these a few months ago and I'm pretty satisfied overall. Sound quality was a great surprise, I was expecting crappy and it's quite decent. Well I was coming from a 32" Sylvania maybe that's why lol

    • Decision time... Was thinking of the 50in version, because even 50 is just a bit too large for the space I will be using it in. Now the 55in is the same price and qualifies for the 29.99 3yr warranty it is pretty much a no brainer LOL. Now I just have to find out whether London, KW or Cambridge has them in stock....

Make sure to add 3 -year additional warranty for $29.99: https://www.costco.ca/.product.359420.html
Thanks for that, Costco website recommends the appliance warranty instead for some reason at $99.
Costco.ca also has 3x Aeroplan Miles with code AERO3 right now.
