    • Another fan of the Theragun. I've had the Theragun Pro for 2 years now and no issues whatsoever. I absolutely love it. Use it regularly and only need to charge it about once every couple of months. I want to pick up a Theragun Mini for travelling.
and another fan of the Theragun here. Bought the G3 Pro back in 2019 and I'm still using it today. The only gripe I have with it is it's a little bulky to travel with.

    • Negative - do not go with Theragun. They have horrendous customer service and their product quality sucks. Purchased 3 different Theragun Elite ($500 ea.) and none of them worked out of the box. The $79.99 Sharper Image massage gun from Costco is better than Theragun.

    • 21 left online. Some in-store. Same price. Got mine a week ago and it's been great so far. No complaints.

The official carrying case is available for $39.99, but shipping kills the deal at $16.99 to Toronto. I did free pick-up from Oakville Warehouse by messaging them before purchase. https://hyperice.ca/product/hypervolt-case. I couldn't find many 3rd party carrying solutions.

    • I bought one from Costco road show, Infinity PR Pro Endurance Percussion Massager, and found it quite effective but my brother thought the Theragun edge out the Infinity. I think the greater amplitude range on the Theragun is probably why. Infinity is 12mm but cheaper ones are typically 9mm.

The Infinity blows the sharper image one out of the water! The stall force is supposedly 55lbs. I can stall out the sharper image with little effort.

I am curious how the Hypervolt compares

    • haha yes of course. It's just totally unresponsive while all 3 leds have been on for like 3 days now. Strangely the bluetooth works but as soon as you start a routine it says device disconnected. literally tried every button combo and connecting to different devices but no go. Already contacted ssense so hopefully they can replace but I've read a lot about bad quality control and not great customer service so hope I can just get a return instead.
Oh dang. I had nothing but good experiences at SSense. Im sure they would refund or exchange it.

    • Only 12 mm of travel. Barely worth it at that price.

Costco had the hi-5 for half the price that also does 12 mm. Mind you it's probably heavier and noisier. Doesn't look like they carry it anymore though.

If you are an athletic person don't get anything less than 12 mm travel.

My next one will be at least 14mm travel and most likely a theragun. If it makes any difference, theragun gives all the specs up front. Other manufacturers don't easily give this spec.
Respectfully, being athletic has nothing to do with the requirements of a percussive device for use at-home. I own 2 Theragun Pro's and use them in my practice everyday, on all body types, in people with varying types of activity level. In fact, most athletes I see have the least tolerance of treatment aggression compared to regular folk. Mostly has to do with hypertonicity and the fact that they don't properly hydrate, stretch, or practice remedial exercise on their own.

That all said, I recommend the Theragun Elite for most people that aren't professionals in similar fields; the Pro isn't necessary for the cost difference. I admit I haven't tried the HyperVolt, though I would be curious to see how it compares side-by-side!

Also, @mcfroogal is living up to his name... those cheap devices aren't remotely close to these top-end devices. They are worth the extra money.

Theragun is strong. I wish there was a weaker setting for a non athlete like me haha. Because its so intense, i shy away from using it.
They do have a SuperSoft attachment that is less intense

Sounds like you didn’t, it’s ok. I actually like Costco a lot. I just don’t go all TikTok influencer over cheap products that need TikTok influencers 😁

Don't believe this guy. Just BSing you. My family had one for years and never had an issue. The Theragun is miles ahead of the Costco one. I initially bought the Costco one but grabbed the Thera on sale for $200. The Theragun is much stronger especially if you have bigger muscle, however the Costco is good for its price. What's lame is how you pay like $200+ for the Theragun and they give you a bag as a travel case, and the Sharp gives you an actual case.

I can't see 2mm of travel making any noticeable difference.

If it can move 20mm but the motor is weak, then its no use.
If it can move 10mm but the motor is super strong, then you just push it into your muscle more, no?

This one has ~25lb stall force (no official spec given), which is no better than one you can buy on amazon for $80.

    • This is called a lemon, it happens to all products. And lemons don’t determine if one product is better than the other unless there are a lot of lemons (poor QC). Even with good QC lemons do happen because no one can guarantee 100% perfect manufacturing process/quality all the time.

It’s like saying BMW 5 series is shit compared to a Corolla because the first day it broke down on the road. Oh, and this does happen to many cars even if you think it does not.

I wasn’t insulting you. It was the confident “mine didn’t work, so this is shit versus the almighty Costco product” tone that I replied to. Still didn’t mean to insult, apologies if that is what it felt like.

    • The Costco one actually turns on and works. So, spending $80 on a product that actually turns on versus spending $500 (3 times) on something that doesn't turn on works out to be a better product in my books. As you may be aware, this is a shopping forum and I was responding to another comment to share my experience about a product. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your Theragun, but there is also no need to try and disregard/insult me.

      3 times sounds rare.

I thought mine didnt work, but then i realized that while i thought i plugged it in to charge, it didnt plug fully. It kinda snaps in. But before, it looks as if it's plugged.

Maybe that was the issue haha

    • IMO this is the only viable alternative to the Theragun. I've tried both side by and side and the Theragun has a just bit a more range and power, but this isn't a tingler like most guns from Costco/amazon.

I have no idea how this one is, so I can’t be of help for this model. But the cheaper Amazon and Costco ones, they now feel trash once we unboxed the theragun and used it.

Not sure if it’s still worth the original $400, but it’s definitely quite a difference. I was myself a skeptic before I got it. Unfortunately I have no idea how the one in OP’s deal compares.
