    • What a wonderful offer from Canada Post! Thanks, OP.

I printed off a couple of labels for the US and Canada. Can someone please tell me:

      1) What happens if I use a box smaller than the one I specified? Does it matter? (Weight will be the same.)

      2) How long is the label valid for? I've printed/saved it in PDF but I couldn't find anything specifying when I have to it by.

      Many thanks!
Please see the thread summary FAQ I put together just below post #1 at the start of this thread.

Your first question is addressed by point #13 and your second question by point #10.

    • Anyone know / think we'll get a bonus free shipping next Tuesday? Like they've done some times in the past?
I shared my thoughts on that back here. In my experience/memory, that was a "makegood" to compensate for severe system issues on one of the Tuesdays which prevented many people from making use of the promo. This year, they opened up that October 11th code on the two following Tuesdays to account for that issue. I would say it's quite unlikely but you never know. :) They've shuttered the promo landing page too.

    • They may charge your credit card for the extra cost - cross-country expedited costs more than the local. YMMW though - I use their return shipping label service (that is no free), and one of several times my CC wasn't charged at all, but the parcel was successfully delivered.
so may be better to choose a a fake "from" address from cross-country location to make sure to be covered?

    • Yeah, good promo.
Although I struggled to make use of all of them 😝
For today in some despair I created label for my own address (i.e. shipped from me to me...) hoping that if I need someone to ship me something within Canada this may work (?)

      That works
Wife received a package this week that came from a friend that used the label…

I have two dummy business acounts created few years ago, trying to workaround the blank webpage problem. Both persist on the issue, and still unusable. I hoped the problem may go away with time. New account is the only solution.

Most likely you are using personal account. Only business accounts have option for promo code.

    • Just printed my final backup label for Canada (in case I might use it in the future).
I am so glad that this year's offer included shipments to the USA because it turns out that was what I needed most. :)

Thanks OP, RFD, and Canada Post.
      God bless! 晚安

    • For USA, it's not a volumetric measure, just must fall within the dimension requirements and weight requirements as separate things. Make sure you click the "See size and weight limits" from that promo landing page in the "Tracked Packet - USA" section to get to this chart and you might find something was off about your package. Make sure also you're not mixing up imperial vs. metric measures which has happened to some people with weight and their weigh scale, etc:

      TrackedPacketUSA.jpg
Everything is below the limits of this chart. All Metric. I ended up just reducing the size of the package. I think I can squeeze it. Thanks for your help with this. I checked out

    • Thanks for this troubleshooting. Looks like my issue is that the package does not qualify for Tracked Packet - USA. Which is odd because it weighs below the limits that Canada Post put here https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/ ... esday.page#/

    • We need more information on what you're trying in order to assist:

      1) What promo code exactly are you attempting to use? OCT25 for Canada, EXTRA25 for the US? Or OCT11 for Canada or EXTRA11 for the US?
      2) Ensure your item's service and class is supported by the promo/code. You can check the exact names of the shipping services from the promotion's landing page here. For example, one user wasn't using "Tracked Packet - USA" because their item was too heavy, so no promo code worked.
      3) Did it work fine other Tuesdays? Are you a new "Solutions for Small Business" customer or existing?

The Promotional Code is not recognized because it either does not exist, is not applicable for the selected service or category, has expired, or has already been used (One-Time Use offers only)

      How to fix this?
The last tip on my thread summary post has some suggestions around this. Seems to be a range of possible fixes - People reported success moving to another browser, trying Incognito/Private mode, clearing cookies, etc. One person reported success clearing cache, whereas only a cookie clear and Incognito didn't fix it, but a cache clear did. Another person reported disabling ad-blockers or VPN works. I think a few people were never able to get past this despite calling the support line.

I was waiting for the last day to print them all together
As @cashinstinct mentioned, printing to PDF is the way to go.

I carefully curate a "Thread Summary" at the top of this thread, just below post #1 that I hope will help everybody so people can go there for their one-stop information hub for tips & tricks. Point 12 recommends the PDF saving approach. :)

    • That is a wonderful idea! I donated all my remaining children's books a couple of months ago though, so I have nothing. Let me know if you want to use my US free ships for this purpose? I have two available that won't be used.
Looks like the organization accepts other items as well:

      Book Donation Requirements
      Books For Africa accepts:

      -children's books
-books that are 15 years old or newer.
-primary, secondary, and college textbooks (soft and hard cover) published in the last 15 years.
-dictionaries or reference books published in the last 10 years, except encyclopedia sets.
-medical, nursing, technical and science books published in the last 10 years.
-Bibles, please place them in a box separate from other donations and mark the box as “Religious texts.” Bibles are sent only when requested by African recipients.
-School/office supplies—paper, pencils, pens, wall charts, maps, etc.
Acceptable books are gently used and relevant to an African reader.

    • Also, as I posted earlier Monday in this thread, Canada Post will apparently honor the "OCT11" (Canada) and "EXTRA11" (US) promo codes from last week due to all the system problems experienced if entered today (the 18th) or next Tuesday the 25th, which might give you more packages if you weren't able to use them last week.
