    • Awful awful awful service here in Toronto. Driver never rang bell, never knocked the door, just put the delivery slip even though we were 3 people inside the house. Happened to me twice now. Called customer service to complain. They agreed that this has been happening a lot lately an apologized but I'll still never use their services again.

    • An important document was supposed to arrive to our office from Montreal yesterday and it didn't... Basically, if it's business critical, always use UPS/FedEx

Ya - I live in midtown - you could swing a cat and hit 50,000 people - and the nearest pickup spot is two subway stops and a five block walk. And is only open 9:30-6:00. Except Sat when it's 11:00-3:00 or Sunday when it doesn't open at all. I chatted with #purolator who offered to have packages sent to a "more convenient pickup spot" nine subway stops away. I guess since they're owned by Canada Post the idea of competing on the basis of service never occurred to them.

Let's face it - what kind of sorry excuse for a courier company has to offer a half price sale during what is one of the three busiest times of the year (counting BF & BD) and maybe THE busiest? Shouldn't they be maximizing their profits right about now?

    • Purolator should fire all their HR department for hiring dumb drivers... their process is clearly shitty.

    • Everybody is swamped right now...UPS no longer offering same day pickups for the foreseeable future.

    • I use Puro daily at my job and for the past week they've been terrible. But I can't compare them as they're the only shipping company I use. Can't imagine they're doing way worse than competition at this time of the year.

So it looks like a good deal to me!

At least it's 2 subway stops away. That doesn't sound too bad. My PuroLATER pick up spot is only open business hours and is over 35km away (Pickering). UPS, Canada Post, Fed Ex, They all have pick up locations 1km away, yet PuroLATER just doesn't F'ing get it.

I personally boycott any online business who uses them!!
