Enjoy some free food from Tim Hortons this weekend, because they're celebrating National Coffee Day 2019 by giving you a free coffee, tea or baked good when you make any purchase on September 28 and 29!

You'll need the Tim Hortons mobile app (Android, iOS) to redeem your freebies -- simply use the app to place an order of at least $0.50 and you'll receive an in-app Tims Rewards offer redeemable for any size coffee, tea or baked good!

A maximum of two free rewards can be claimed per account, with a limit of one per day on September 28 and 29. There are some restrictions, as Timbits and bagels are not eligible and Tims Rewards accounts with five banked rewards will not receive the in-app offer.

This offer is available on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 only at all Tim Hortons across Canada -- click here to find the location nearest you.

    • Nice... this is effectively a delayed BOGO free offer, provided you are buying coffee/tea or eligible baked good!

    • Yes very nice indeed. I read the TC carefully you need to actually place a mobile order to qualify. You cant just flash and pay with your mobile app reward card. Am i reading that right? Either way good deal.

Yes, that's the way I read it too. Use mobile app to place the order.

Confused. How is this BOGO. If you need 8 rewards or 9 purchsss to get 1 free purchase getting a “1 bonus reward” is kinda lame. It’d be a real BOGO if you buy one coffee and get one for free. No points or rewards that’s lame

If you buy a coffee with mobile app on 28th or 29th you get a free coffee reward, so buy one get one free. Doesn't have to be a coffee, you can buy anything over 50cents and get a free reward coffee.

Normal rewards are 1 per every 7 eligible purchases. With this promotion, each day this weekend you'll get 1 bonus reward (a free item) for every eligible purchase you make.

With over 5 million cups of coffee served every day, here are a few of the most popular facts surrounding Tim Hortons brew
kinda depressing knowing that 5 million single use Timmy cups go into the garbage a day.

I actually like their mobile app for the most part. The only problem I ever have is that occasionally a restaurant location will not accept mobile orders. I can still select the store, add the item to my cart, but then I get an error trying to place the order. Probably happens 2-3 times a month for me.

Nice of you to explain, but I'm not sure how effective it will be since they clearly can't read.
