    • I took down 72 shrimps. It started out fine but I was definitely working by the end of it.

Like others have noted, it was very salty. I was thirsty and noticeably agitated for the rest of the night from excess sodium.

I have no ragrets. I will not be partaking again though.

    • They're shrimp, not some particularly spicy or hard to digest food. Why would there be digestion issues. Some of my best bowel movements have been after eating a high number of shrimp.
I think it's the sheer volume of butter. Most people aren't used to eating that much fat.
All you can eat eh? :)
I actually tested this about 20 years ago. They didn't kick me out.
My record was 7 hours and 700 shrimp. But to be fair they were tiny.

      Sit down.
132 and I even got pasta as my first and finished the biscuits.
I might adjust my trip to include a Monday now.

    • lol I did like 66 but could have forced down another 18 if needed... but I also started with the pasta + 4 biscuits along the way... Idk I think if I tried the pasta at the end when I;m super full would be hard... I was packing away those grilled at the end nice and easy.

    • why is it $20 only on mondays
The restaurant has a daily special for each day of the week. Mondays is shrimp. At least that is what the menu said in Burlington.
Usually it is 25 but on Mondays the special makes it 20.

So to make this promotion worth it you should aim to eat 4+ orders.

    • Went there today, tapped off at 80 pieces. For $28 taxes in it's a decent value. (don't worry I tipped). I ordered the battered pieces once and the rest were the grilled ones which ended up being my favorite. Not a fan of the pina colada sauce that comes with the coconut shrimp, would much rather ask for a side of sweet chili thai sauce instead.

    • Basically you walk into Red Lobster on a stormy Wednesday evening. You sit down with your wife and two kids. The waiter comes by to take your order as you hungrily ask for the endless shrimp.

15 minutes later everybody is served. Your wife and kids ordered the endless shrimp as well. As the night morphs into inky blackness outside you all talk and laugh and eat. You eat plate after plate after plate of shrimp. After a couple hours, you and your family are stuffed. You motion to the waiter to bring the bill and look down at your plate, letting out a small chuckle. It looks like you haven't even eaten a single bit of shrimp- a curious thing since you have been gorging yourself on shrimp constantly for the better part of two hours. But before you can puzzle over this small oddity any longer, the waiter bustles over to your table and hands you the bill.

As you reach over to grab the check your hand closes instead around a squishy pile of shrimp. There is no check being held out to you, just another plate of shrimp. A loud thunderclap booms outside as you look up at the waiter to ask why he brought you more shrimp instead of the check, when you are suddenly alarmed to find not the waiter, but a giant, human-sized shrimp in server attire staring blankly down at you. You spin around in your seat to see if your wife can see the shrimp waiter and are immediately frightened out of your wits. Your wife is no longer seated there next to you- only another human-sized shrimp wearing your wife's dress and hoop earrings.

Numb with horror, you quickly glance across the table at your two children. They are both shrimps. You let out a yell as another thunderclap echoes across the sky and it begins to rain. You distantly register the start of the torrential downfall outside, which sounds like large hail, as you spare a sweeping glance across the restaurant. There are no humans present. There are only shrimps seated at booths, shrimps seated at tables, and even a small group of shrimps at the bar. They are all eating large platefuls of shrimp and leering at you menacingly.

Your heart begins to pound in your chest like a war drum. You stumble backwards, half falling over your chair in your haste to get up. You sprint for the door and run outside into the dark stormy night. As you dash through the parking lot towards your car you feel something like a giant hot raindrop hit your face and bounce off towards the ground. Looking down you see a shrimp lying on the ground. You look out across the parking lot and see puddles of shrimp collecting in the cracks in the pavement and across the roofs of the closest cars. Another warm object strikes your head. It's literally raining shrimp.

You find your car and fumble, hands shaking uncontrollably, with your keys. Finally unlocking the car you slip inside and engage the door locks. The human-sized shrimp from the restaurant are now congregating outside the front doors, staring across the parking lot at you. Their pale orange-pink bodies eerily backlit from the light streaming out from the open doors behind them.

You try to cram the key into the ignition, but it folds against the ignition plate and squishes in your hand. You look down. There are no car keys, only several mangled shrimp on a keyring in your trembling hand. You punch the steering wheel in frustration accidentally setting off the car alarm.

The shrimps outside the restaurant hear the noise and hungrily start to advance across the parking lot towards you. You try in vain to cram the shrimp key into the ignition but you know it is pointless.

The shrimp slowly approach the car and surround it, rocking it back and forth, pressing their slimy bodies against the frame. You hear the fiberglass doors groan under the pressure as one of the rear windows shatters, spraying the backseat of the car with fragments of glass.

You know there is no hope left. There is no escape. White-faced and shaking, you reach across the console and open the glovebox. Crammed under the insurance papers and a pile of napkins is the Glock 19 you always bring with you when you leave the house. You pull the gun from its holster and pause for a fraction of a second that holds an eternity. With tears streaming down your face, you put the gun to the roof of your mouth. Trying not to imagine what it feels like to die, only forcing yourself to think of your wife and kids you close your eyes. Then you pull the trigger.

A singular shrimp comes zooming out of the barrel into your mouth. In your darkest hour, death itself refuses to end you. For death is not the end. There can only be shrimp- and they are endless.

    • Went two times last year both times at the Burlington location.

I don’t normally like going to RL but it was for a work meeting.

Honestly, it’s not bad. It does get a little redundant even when you switch up the different types.

The staff there would take our next order after they brought our current order to our table. There was basically no wait between each order as they just kept bringing it out until we started tapping out one by one.

For $25 to try once, I would say it’s a good deal especially if you’re a shrimp lover.
Same here, I bring often when they have this promo my 10 years old son. He loves shrimps.
Last time we went, few months ago was only 20 dollars, so is it now 25$? Someone was talking that was charged only 20 in other locations

    • I wish they had an option for no salt.
Despite many attempts, I was not able to get them the food with no salt.
The funny thing is, those servers will always tell you that they will let the kitchen know.
I think no salt is not an option and their shirimps are way too salty for me. =(

    • The $25 price has been for a few months now, the promo's they are sending out are about the new Sweet Chili flavour that's available.

They've definitely improved how it works after many complaints, as wife and I went 2 weeks ago and it's now pick 3 types (double orders) to start, and 2 types at a time for every re-order, instead of the old 2 double orders to start and 1 per re-order, but that could be location dependent.

    • Went on an educational trip to Red Lobster, hadn't been in maybe 15 years. We are undergoing a kitchen renovation so have been eating out a bit more often than usual, so what better timing to try this Endless Shrimp deal. We usually go for quality over quantity in recent years as our taste has become more refined and our pockets deeper, but since I am a shrimp lover, my wife agreed to make an exception.

Choice of side included fries, rice, green beans, coleslaw, and I forget what else. Someone promptly brought 4 warm biscuits after ordering. Our strategy was to order the things with more flavour and calories early on, so that we could binge on more of the plainer shrimps at the end.

Sweet Chili Shrimp (500 cals): slightly breaded but mostly sweet, kind of like the sweet and sour pork you would get from a Chinese restaurant. Liked them a lot but only in a very limited quantity because it's too sweet. Served on coleslaw that I did not eat.

Island Jumbo Coconut Shrimp (570 cals): the coconut was tasty and not overwhelming like it may be for a coconut macaroon (I don't like those). Came with a piΓ±a colada sauce that was slightly sweet. Overall in the highly flavoured category, those were my favorite. Only ordered once though to avoid eating too much batter. One thing that surprised me is that the calories listed for the Coconut Shrimp are much higher at 570 than those for Walt's Favourite Shrimp at 280 cals, but Walt's Favourite Shrimp tasted more of batter to us. Perhaps it's the coconut oil in the Coconut Shrimp but they didn't feel as heavy as the amount of calories would suggest. It may just be that the Coconut Shrimp have a batter that's more crunchy and is therefore less oily and filling.

Walt's Favorite Shrimp (280 cals): the first batch came more flavourful and less breaded, but a second batch later seemed more breaded and disappointing. Made me wonder if first batch orders are different, like that one time I I ordered an all-you-can-eat ribs at a restaurant and the first batch were back ribs and other batches were side ribs. Perhaps it's just that the oil wasn't hot enough this time and the bread absorbed more oil. I suspect all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant of doing something similar where they put more mayo or breading in makis when they feel like you're overstaying your welcome (which is why I end these meals on a high note with nigiri and sashimi, ha). We didn't order it yet another time to test my theory.

Shrimp Linguini Alfredo (710 cals): most disappointing of the bunch. I did like the sauce but I don't eat pasta often and my wife said it was just ok. The 6 shrimp were small, there were a lot of linguini. You can skip this one if you're trying to optimize your protein intake. This is the only one I would completely skip the next time I come, perhaps in a year or two when I am done digesting yesterday's meal both physically and spiritually.

Grilled Shrimp Skewer (130 cals): one batch came in more grilled, another one more garlicky and buttery. These weren't amazing but they were tasty. They're what you're after if you're a shrimp lover. Near the end of the meal, we ordered just that and the server offered to bring two skewers each. We ended up doing that another time and I ate all four by myself. I do intermittent fasting, basically usually not eating anything before 5 pm, leaving me with a very strong appetite for this kind of deal.

Garlic Shrimp (230 cals): they're good if you want a good dose of garlic butter, but in the end they're fairly similar to the skewer. Higher in calories than the skewers, but I suspect that if you don't drink the butter or dip your biscuit in it, they have just a bit more calories.

Contrary to what the name of the deal suggests, we did have to put an end to our feast as we were very full. The server promptly brought the little machine to pay, and I left a generous tip because he was always quick to take our new orders and we never stayed without shrimp for long.

I was very thirsty after the meal despite drinking a lot of water during it (the server was quick to fill our glasses when needed). I am 3 pounds heavier this morning, but I do not worry that I will go back to my regular weight soon.
