    • With double points, $10 spend = 2000 points = free any size coffee or iced coffee. You can get lots of other items for more points but generally worse value per point.

    • If they're trying to make up for the 'One extra McNugget' debacle, they're going to have to do a hell of a lot better than this.

    • Everyone (here or elsewhere) can all debate all we want if 2X points promo is good or bad.

But I do hope everyone agreed that they better update the app so it doesn't play such a loud music when you start the app now. 😡

    • I prefer more coupons. Not points.

    • McDonalds has lost it .. their menu is so boring.. they removed items when the pandemic started and never brought them back (big breakfast, Angus burger, serious chicken).. their chicken sandwich offering is lame at a time when chicken sandwiches are what people are looking for. Other countries are making the menu exciting.. McDonalds Canada keeps throwing out lame offers. My expectation - start watching for store closures.

    • I think its been a solid week where there are no good deals anymore on the app. 2x the points is not really an incentive IMO. They used to have 2 combos for $12.xx or 1 combo for $6.xx, now its 1 combo (big Mac only which is basically a glorified McDouble) for $9.xx. Toronto here, it could be different in other cities/provinces.

I know McDonald's is doing this to test price elasticity, they wanna see how much people will tolerate & still buy or not but A & W still has 2 mozza mushroom burger combos for $13.99. Anyone with a smartphone should not bother with these "deals" McDonald's currently has.

Not the ones in my area. I have two McDonald's about equal distance from where I live, on weekdays during breakfast/lunch/dinner rushes the driv-thru lines are backed way up. On weekends it gets nuts and you're waiting 5 to as much as 10 mins for your food whether you go through driv-thru, curbside delivery or pick up your food inside. I have not seen any drop in the popularity of McDonald's here even during the pandemic.

    • "Do points expire?

Unfortunately, nothing can last forever. Any unredeemed points will automatically expire 6 months after they are earned. Plenty of time to save up for rewards."

Just saw this in the FAQ on the website. Brutal.

Or their follow up with the bag fry shit and then recently the new coupons "2 can dine for $18" like gtfo McDs.

    • Wow it’s like they are intentionally tanking themselves. Did Joe Biden take over the marketing dept.?

    • I had a coupon in the app today... or "offer" w.e they call it.

$17 for 2 quarter pounder extra value meals.

      SMH..

Looks like they made me healthier by raising prices almost 75% in the span of, idk, covid?

    • What an offer!?!

      Hash brown for $1.50+taxes?

    • I liked the offers better than this "point" system. Now, here's something I want to toss up:
On Winnipeg Jets game days, there is a $3 Big Mac (prefer the 1/4 but I make adjustments to the Mac, like raw onions instead of the limp default). Today was one such day, checked before leaving the house around noon, but when I got to the town's McD, it wasn't on the app offers. Shrug. I just had a big seniors coffee, picked up an app Wendys Daves $3 single (surprisingly really good) from nearby. When I was at work, checked again, and the Jets Offer was back on the McD app.
Annoying. Oh well. Anyone else have their offers off and on over the day?

Same thing happened to me last week with the same $3 Big Mac offer but for the Oilers.

Here's a tip/trick when that happens: click on Order, then Offers. If you see the $3 offer, click on it and select Use at restaurant.

Not sure why it's doing that but the above worked for me.

When I saw that free nugget “deal” I thought it was a joke. Even the 10 for the price of 6 didn’t feel like a deal
