    • Tried the McCrispy today (with extra mayo and added pickles). It was fairly small, and tasted just like the Chicken sandwich from Burger King. Not really worth the premium IMO since taste-wise it's nothing special, and protein-wise it has the same protein as a quarter pounder (29g).

Also, when are McDonald's (in downtown Toronto, at least) going to let us get refills/refill our own drinks? I remember going to a McDonald's in Brampton, and they had their self-serve fountains available, so it's not a blanket policy. At this point, the ones refusing refills are just being cheap.

McDonald's just isn't worth it anymore.
How much would it cost?? (Just sugary water, isn't it?) I would say it can be quite messy around self-serving fountains and the machine can take up quite a bit of space.

    • Tried a Big Mac and quarter pounder for $8. Horrible. Just tasted like mush, you can tell how highly processed they are, and they were so small. 2 whoppers or teen burgers for $8 is so much better.

    • I tried to get a McCrispy with the Buy 2 sandwiches coupon and the attendant even tried to ring it thru but the system wouldn't allow it. It was worth a try. :P

    • McChicken in USA is on the dollar menu.
Yeah, like Dhanushan pointed out, that's a different McChicken. I don't understand the reasoning to replace McChicken with Big Mac in Canada for the offer. Not everyone consumes red meat. It was such a popular choice.

Tried using the breakfast meal coupon yesterday and realized that McDonalds changed it so that it's only valid for McMuffins now. Up until the last set of coupons, you could get also get a plain egg BLT with the breakfast coupon.

    • The fact the Liberals were able to push the narrative is so funny.
Like corporations didn't want to make as much money as possible before the Liberals took power.
They all just woke up 1 year ago and started raising prices because they can.

It has nothing to do with the hundreds of billions QE dollars the Liberals gave corporations via programs like:
      Canadian emergency wage subsidy
      Temporary wage subsidy
      Canadian emergency rent subsidy
      Canadian emergency business account
      Various provincial grants
      etc.
      etc.
      etc.

    • There were a few (just a few) articles recently posted online by the media regarding "greedflation" where the big guys like McDonald's, major grocery stores et al are enjoying skyrocketing profit margins that are higher now than before covid, Many household necessities and food staples have risen well above 40%, In other words, they too get hit with inflation but they're taking advantage of the situation and earning more (percentage wise), well above the "normal" inflation rate.

    • YMMV on that I guess. Some locations are lenient apparently; maybe just telling them you have the coupon at the drive through speaker might work. But around here they ask for the coupon. So if you don't have the physical coupon book or app offers you'd have to use the code at the kiosk.
    • that's unfortunate. inside closes early while drive through is open 24 hours

    • Interesting I always thought MCD meat taste like cardboard. And not hating I love McDonald's but overall. Eat a piece of a burger patty and it's like mush.
Compared to the A&W burger I had, the McDonald's meat was way tastier.

I had a $15 gourmet burger that was bland - in the past, some just don't know how to flavour meat.

Had a Teen Burger at A&W and it was disappointing. Bland meat... say what you say about McDonald's, but their meat has taste.

    • But how do I use the barcode generator? Do I have to manually enter an 8 digit code after "P" and any will work? Is each code one time use only?
