    • They have coffee? lol

I think I did try their coffee once. The bitterness of coffee right after a bite of their doughnuts does not make for a good pairing.

    • If KK wants to do well they will have to ditch their current coffee and offer something fresh and new.
      (Their coffee is HORRIBLE!)
It actually surprises me they haven't teamed up with Second cup or somebody to boost both their doughnut sales while also boosting their coffee sales.

    • I really hope that KK expands. In Ottawa, there was few couple of times when they trucked in boxes from Montreal and sold them in a specific Costco with the special kiosk. That's the only way Ottawans ever got to taste KK.

Whenever I go to Toronto or Montreal, I make sure to pick up a couple of boxes. I find you can freeze them, and then take them out one by one and let them thaw for an hour and they still taste great. I only go for the iced flavours, like the original, chocolate or strawberry.

    • Twenty’ish years ago, KK expanded too quickly and it bit them in the backside. I suspect this time around they’ll be more selective in their expansion plans.

    • Wtf is going on with KK?

In 2016, they announced that they will open 50 new micro stores (like Tim Hortons) in QC and ON then start expanding to the rest of Canada.
They went private in 2016. In 2021, the company went public again.

They announced a plan for major expansion using the hub and spoke model.

"hubs serving as Krispy Kreme brand ambassadors and doughnut factories, which deliver fresh doughnuts daily to spokes, the locations through which customers can purchase the products"

They have the best doughnuts of any donut chain and their coffee is drinkable. I don't understand why they aren't everywhere like Tim Hortons by now.

All they need to do is build a central facility and supply the micro stores in that area on a regular basis, just like TH, and Starbucks does it. I'll still choose KK over TH, Starbucks and McDonald's. The cost of running donut factory like their current model is obviously unsustainable.

    • No kidding. Can't imagine how disgusting that would be trying to shovel that in your mouth on a hot and humid day, surrounded by people.
It's in the food building. The fans are pretty good at making the place less hot than outside...not as good as air conditioning, but still better.

Slim pickings there but Screenrant foolishly doesn't mention Twix (TBH w/o sn00ch reminder I probably wouldn't have remembered; Snickers neither)
SR also omitted the black and white cookie
IIRC RFD clued me in that "Mackinaw" peaches are an invention of the show's writer(s)
I can't believe they forgot the cookie. "Nothing mixes better than vanilla and chocolate. And yet, still, somehow racial harmony eludes us. If people would only look to the cookie. All our problems would be solved."
