Treat that special someone to a romantic dinner at IKEA, where they're hosting a special Valentine's Day Dinner at the IKEA Restaurant on February 14.

IKEA's Valentine's Day Dinner will include a three-course meal with a salad and soup starter; your choice of meatballs, plant balls or salmon for the main course; berry cheesecake and chocolate caramel cake for dessert; along with Nordic fruit water and mocktails for drinks. Alcohol will be available for purchase separately.

In Canada, 15 IKEA stores will be hosting a Valentine's Day Dinner on February 14 – simply visit the IKEA Swedish Restaurant at any participating location to purchase tickets in-person. Pricing will vary depending on your IKEA Family status – members can get tickets for $29.99, while non-members can get tickets for $39.99. Kids tickets (12 and under) are $4.99 each, regardless of membership.

IKEA Valentine's Day tickets are available in IKEA stores only on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spots are limited, so reserve your seat before they're sold out at your local store.

My wife shook her head at this saying any of the other 364 days of the year she'd be okay with an Ikea dinner, just not that day, and she's not big on Valentine's at all.

      We go to Ikea for full on dinner probably once a month. It's one of those kind of lazy time things we do when we were in the area for some other shopping and it's 6 or so and not feeling like cooking when we get home 10 mins away. They give a free baby food too, and we like to hit up the scratch and dent section so that normally seals it. We are those kind of people now.

      If tickets didn't have to be purchased in advance I would definitely mark the calendar and try to plan the once a month night to fall then. But too much hassle.

    • It seems like the menu items are a bit spiced up for the valentine dinners compared to the regular everyday meals. I don't know about the salmon one or plant balls since i never get it. But if i recall correctly, the salmon one regular is usually around $12 now.

      Meatballs with spiced potatoes served with fresh herbs, arugula, and pea salad with turmeric sour cream sauce.

      Salmon served with vegetable vermicelli, Sichuan vegetables, and sauteed sesame coriander sauce.

      Plant balls with curry cauliflower, lime & coconut sauce, served with green beans and red pepper salsa.

      Everything is still under $19.99 per person.

      And with Ikea family card, you can get a free coffee or if you just wanna pay the extra $1 for the unlimited fountain drink. And Nordic fruit water is part of the fountain drink options, no?
      I went for dinner twice recently and it was 28 for 2 with no dessert. It's not as cheap as it used to be.

      The fountain drink is only their own drinks now, which aren't very good good compared to unlimited mountain dew like the old days.
