    • IKEA Richmond is sold out of tickets. Sold out signage is the first thing you see when you walk into the dining area.

    • I have to say this picture is nicely done. The composition, focus, the bokeh, warm romantic white balance, the best part is it purposely cut out the foods on the table.

In the settlement, did you let your ex keep all the IKEA furniture?

    • Kinda sounds like she is big into Valentines if an Ikea dinner that day bothers her. Would she rather an anniversary date at Ikea or her birthday?
      No, not really.
She's just happy that I make her breakfast or dinner.

    • Then you maybe the exception. I dunno, any other night of the year would be okay with most wives, but there is a certain expection if you're taking them out for dinner for Valentine's. My wife shook her head at this saying any of the other 364 days of the year she'd be okay with an Ikea dinner, just not that day, and she's not big on Valentine's at all.

    • I have to say my interest was piqued. These comments are pretty funny too.

We go to Ikea for full on dinner probably once a month. It's one of those kind of lazy time things we do when we were in the area for some other shopping and it's 6 or so and not feeling like cooking when we get home 10 mins away. They give a free baby food too, and we like to hit up the scratch and dent section so that normally seals it. We are those kind of people now.

If tickets didn't have to be purchased in advance I would definitely mark the calendar and try to plan the once a month night to fall then. But too much hassle.

    • I wouldn't mind if my husband brought me to this, it's just a night out which sure beats having to cook at home. If your woman complains just because it's not the most romantic location, might be time to find a new relationship.

Too funny. A joke? Maybe,,,maybe not.

    • If I took my woman to IKEA for Valentines Day dinner it would have to include an unlimited shopping spree or I’d be a dead man. Nice try IKEA. This ain’t a hot deal, it’s a scam. Much cheaper to just take her to a fancy restaurant.

    • It seems like the menu items are a bit spiced up for the valentine dinners compared to the regular everyday meals. I don't know about the salmon one or plant balls since i never get it. But if i recall correctly, the salmon one regular is usually around $12 now.

Meatballs with spiced potatoes served with fresh herbs, arugula, and pea salad with turmeric sour cream sauce.

Salmon served with vegetable vermicelli, Sichuan vegetables, and sauteed sesame coriander sauce.

Plant balls with curry cauliflower, lime & coconut sauce, served with green beans and red pepper salsa.
      Mmmm PLANT BALLS

    • Ikea is not in the restaurant business, they want to sell you household stuff.
They’re hoping that some poor woman will be so romanced by the dinner at Ikea, that she’ll also be convinced to share a new ikea bed with her date. 😂 Worst valentines day ever!

    • Is it me or do I find this more expensive than if I bought those meals individually?

      Salad/soup - $4 max?
      Meatball meal -$8?
      Cake - $5?

Everything is still under $19.99 per person.

And with Ikea family card, you can get a free coffee or if you just wanna pay the extra $1 for the unlimited fountain drink. And Nordic fruit water is part of the fountain drink options, no?
I went for dinner twice recently and it was 28 for 2 with no dessert. It's not as cheap as it used to be.

The fountain drink is only their own drinks now, which aren't very good good compared to unlimited mountain dew like the old days.
