    • Umm...the discount is only off regular menu prices. Lame.
I was able to get the CAA discount combined with coupon back in August , when it was still 10%:

    • Make your own burgers and it’ll cost a lot less than $3 a burger
Well, you can say that about any restaurant - people don't generally go to restaurants to save money vs. cooking at home!

And you can't just buy the exact amount of ingredients you need for a burger, so you are definitely looking at more than a $3 outlay. Not convenient if you are single for example, and then you need to figure out something else to do with the leftovers.

    • I agree with you here 100%. I too have noticed this disturbing trend.

I remember Harvey's paper coupons would deliver consistently before disappearing over the past year or so and we would use them. With this push to apps I stopped bothering and haven't been back in a long time. I'm not installing a tracking app for every place I want to eat! I guess business must be down for Harvey's because their paper coupons magically re-appeared a few days ago....albeit with higher prices!

If restaurants move to only apps I will just pull back my consumption and cook more. I am not willing to pay their inflated combo prices to subsidize the tracking apps. If their revenues drop then more sales will emerge. If they want to play that game bring it on!
Just hibernate/force stop the app when not in use and/or install an ad/tracker blocker like blokada.

    • It just sucks that non in-app coupons are fading away, eventually they will be completely gone for all fast food chains.

It was bound to be a matter of time for restaurant chains with tight margins to say "Ok, you can still save a good amount on orders, but in return you have to let us install our spyware app that tracks you."

Even A&W is now ruined. They just released their new coupons, and for the second cycle in a row there are zero worthwhile deals in any of them, it's a total joke. They used to always give good discounts, now it looks like like most others, you will only get good deals sporadically and not year-long.

    • That last promo, was able to use multiple times unlike in the past
Oh I see now, right, that was for angus. Makes sense now. So your post doesn't answer my question. The issue has popped up in the last month. Your orders are all from April, when the app worked.

    • Wait, how did you order multiple times on the same account? 3burger is once per account.

I just managed to place an order in the browser btw.

    • Same and after few months it magically worked for me
I'm seeing basically all the "relevant" reviews of the app on the play store mentioning the same issue I'm having. Wonder what's wrong with their app. I wanted to use the 3burger code but I couldn't place the order and despite going to the store, the useless manager could not honour it because he didn't have the "key" or whatever the hell he was complaining about.

    • I think Harvey's used to position themselves as a more deluxe McDonald's. I remember their burgers used to be big, juicy, and also expensive. Like $6-7 a burger when other fast food places were $3.

I guess a combination of commercialization, corporate greed, and pressure from competition made them drop the prices and also the quality. They may have felt stranded: not deluxe enough to compete with fast casual and not cheap enough to compete with other fast food joints.

    • “Ok” buns, dried Patties and toppings, and it’s not just one location.

Last time at another location I felt I was actually tasting and eating whatever cleaning material they use to clean surfaces. Yuck.

Their upper management / parent company must be very much into the usual bean-counter company bottom-line manipulation stuff. Food quality tanks while profits keep showing the upward trend.

I ended up uninstalling their app too. It’s a shame because Harvey’s used to be pretty good.

    • Dang, I just purchased two yesterday. First at $3, second at $5.49. Any chance of a price match, unfortunately both completely consumed?

Agghhh, only $3 over-paid, but hey, this is RFD and no Dollar should be left on the Battlefield.
Are you seriously asking if they'll price match fast food?

    • Harvey's has really gone downhill for me.
Yes, the deals are there but the quality of the food is not. Buns are boring, burgers seem smaller than ever and even though they are topped by you, I still taste like "something is missing."

Upsets me because I use to rank Harvey's pretty high up. I don't any longer.
I know exactly what you mean. I loved Harvey's from the early 90s then something changed in the early 2010s. I'd say it's the burger patty's taste, size and how well it's cooked.

I still get cravings for the original but I keep reminding myself of how awesome they used to be.

It could be because there is so much competition out there! Too many burger joints have opened in the past few years.
