Are you talking about the recall they did in June in the US (it did not affect Canada by the way)... lol, have ever seen how many food related recalls are done every week?

I believe punvin is referring to how some people never received their Kellogg's soccer jersey (the link to the discussion is provided by the OP). I think promos like this should be capped by the website, so that after the number of available shirts have been claimed, PINS are no longer accepted. Poorly executed promo by Kelloggs, let's hope General Mills doesn't follow suite. Remember, even though 300K+ hockey shirts are available, the popular sizes will go quickly and PINS have been printed in many more boxes than there are shirts available.

Some backorders from that promo are being filled again, looks like Kellogg's made a 2nd order

Good to know, thank you! :)

I didn't participate but here's hoping lots of RFDers end up getting their jersey from the second batch.

    • I'm one of those still waiting for the Kellogg's tees; got an email last week that the shirts will be coming (kinda like "the cheque's in the mail").

If I go for one of these tees, I might get the hockey tee before the soccer tee!!

    • Well, can't use the soccer tee now since it is fall already. One thing General Mills has going for it is at least they have some healthier (NOTE I say healthier not Healthy) cereal choices than Kellogg's. Anyone want a box or two of frosted flakes?

The real problem was that they printed more boxes than they had shirts available. Stores still had tons of shirt-promising boxes on the shelves after all the shirts had run out, later no doubt sold to unsuspecting customers. A poor business move for sure.

As for this promo, am I the only one who finds these shirts girly? Especially for hockey.

If the box made no mention of a shirt then how can you feel cheated?

If it did mention it, look for the code.

General Mills ran the same scam in 2009, i bought four boxes that promised shirts, (i needed the product, shirts were a bonus) no code in any of the boxes ...
i rarely ever bought general mills ever again.
