    • I have the 28 blackstone, for most people this is a sweet spot in size.

just checked and this Expert Grill 4 Burner Propane Gas Flat Top Griddle Grill, Black, GGC2342W-C for 298 looks like a good price. Cold rolled and thicker than a Blackstone.

    • When bringing things over the border, how do customs work?
What am i looking at in duties when I drive an unopened box across the border?
Just brought mine across, no duty. Travel with someone if possible. Had available dollar value coming back after vacation but would not fit in my already packed SUV so went back with the truck for a day trip. Will fit in a SUV. Will have to unbox it for a civic. Good luck. Still on sale for $279 US with stock. Currently $899 CDN at Home Depot.

    • Walmart does not sell the 36” with cover for $368. It’s $498 (same price as online).

The Blackstone for $368 in store is not a griddle.
      What is it then?

Edit: Just did some research and it seems that Blue Rhino is right up there with Blackstone.

    • I haven’t used a bbq since the day I bought the Blackstone. Never going back.
I use my BBQ, gas grill, smoker, and Blackstone whenever the situation is right.

Why would you use a griddle to cook a whole chicken when a BBQ or smoker is better?

And why would you cook bacon or smash burgers on a smoker or BBQ, when the griddle will get the job done quicker and better?

      Different tools for different jobs.

    • I have a BBQ, Blackstone, Smoker, pizza oven and I’ll say I use the black stone as much as my reg bbq. It’s a game changer for large breakfast, smash burgers, stir fry, tacos and extremely versatile.

Is this useful if I already have a BBQ, stove and smoker?
      Same question lol

    • you are not serious ??
Like cancer. Proper storing. Seasoning. Rust...
      To each their own.

    • I have the 28 at the cottage and it was a game changer for meal cooking. Everything outside now and less mess inside.

If you want to cook outside, Blackstone does not disappoint. Just make sure to keep it seasoned and store properly to avoid rust! Keeping in garage helps. My father also made a custom wood cover for it, highly recommend. If you don't have a cover then use parchment paper once cool.

Princess Auto's conversion kit to natural gas will work as well, yeah?

Yeah, an unseasoned, unassembled griddle without a speck of grease anywhere. I'm sure that'll pass no questions asked.

Ah the old "gym clothes" trick haha
I always take a gym bag with a couple of stinky shirts, and mix it with the bag!

Also for used garage sale items, just say it was under 50 bucks or something? maybe cook a burger to make it look used? lol

Maybe it's expired now coz it's definitely showing up as 498 (but out of stock) Maybe when it goes back in stock it might go down?
      It's definitely a better price.
Costco had it for 599 last year and I bought it on clearance for 399 (without a hard top cover). Ended up selling it due to moving so now I am looking to buy a new one. 368 is a fantastic price!

    • That's interesting. I never thought they would be cheaper in store vs. online. Guess that makes sense.

$368 for a 36" with cover seems like a better deal than the 28" at $288 with no cover. I wonder what the 28" will cost in store.

Whhaaaa..how does the griddle stay hot at such low outdoor temps..or your food even? :)

They are great for making eggs, pancakes, bacon, submarines, smash burgers, sauteed vegetables and cleanup is very easy.

    • b) Obviously it's not like a BBQ.. so it's usage is dependent of the weather, and cooking when it's 15deg outside, I find food gets cold.. Possibly it's just me though

    • i've had the 22" for a year now and it's awesome. The lid is great for keeping crap off it like leaves, rain, etc... if it's too hot to put the proper cover on.

i'm keeping the 22" for home and the 28" is going to the cabin, but ill need to buy a 149$ hardcover for it.
I am going to make a 10$ wood cover..... will work the same ;)
if you need more space and BTU's https://www.princessauto.com/en/4-burne ... 0009063355. this looks decent

    • Time machine owner here :)

I'm very happy with my 28" that I had bought in 2019 for $100. I bought the hard top cover for it (once made a DIY cover it) and a softshell cover.
My only beef technically with it is
      a) grease splatter on siding. I solved this with the metal hard cover. it hinges onto the griddle and protects from splashes. I also put up a backing to prevent the grease splatter.
      b) Obviously it's not like a BBQ.. so it's usage is dependent of the weather, and cooking when it's 15deg outside, I find food gets cold.. Possibly it's just me though
Dammit now I feel like I overpaid $188 lol.
