    • For $30, what's missing from the Costco 3 bulb for $30 deal?

The light switch is $30 by itself.
Unless you already have smart lights or have guests over often you wont understand how convenient having a smart switch is.

We live in an instant society, why wait the 15-30 seconds unlocking and opening your phone when you can press a button if you prefer.
If you dont get a smart switch and turn off the lights manually then you wont be able to turn them back on via app or assistant. Which will happen often.
If you have a smart light and a manual dimmer it makes the light strobe.

The bulbs are smart wifi bulbs you can control via app or gmh, so wouldnt it replace the remote?

Remote aside curious why one bulb is better than other. Looking for more smart ideas so comparing right now

      see my edit.
Its all about ecosystem. Phillips was one of the first and largest/ best apps. So to keep all the routines simple I have phillips bulbs and switches.
If you are coming in fresh it dont matter. I would get YeeLight off AliExpress

    • Thanks op. I recently fully automated my home with smartthings sensors, so I don't really use switches anymore. However, this should work great in my sons room to cycle some scenes (On, Reading, Nightlight). For some reason, after 75+ hue lights and accessories, I haven't purchased one of these yet. I do have a few of the hue tap switches though.
