      Nope. OP link works.

Just reordered an LP I ordered last night, discount was applied. Unfortunately they couldn't cancel my existing order in time, so will just return the other one.

Thanks OP! Quick way to save $5.

Here's $5 to mine all your browsing data :)

If you like to do it anyway, install it on a throwaway browser like Chromium or sth.

The order must be initiated through the Assistant Chrome Extension for the credit to apply:

      Nope.
Just tested it after uninstalling. Added a $25+ item to cart and at checkout it shows. Not saying that wasn't their intention, but it seems to work without it.

    • I'm a little confused about how this works. It says get $5 off but also mentions that the credit must be used by August 2. Which is it? Is it a immediate $5 off discount on a qualifying purchase or do they issue you a $5 credit you can use on your next purchase?

Nevermind, I just read the FAQ again, so you get the credit just for installing the extension and clicking on the button. Thanks OP!

After following the instructions you immediately get the $5.00 discount added to your account. This is not a regular credit that shows up in the gift card balance.
Add an item shipped or sold by Amazon.ca to your cart that is $25+ (or multiple items totaling $25+) and go to cart. You should see the $5 discount at checkout.
You have until August 2nd to make a purchase with the discount, then it will be gone.

For whatever reason had to change my Kindle location to Canada (never used kindle), then it would let me get the promo (it even gave instructions).

Same thing happened to me. I changed my Kindle account and followed the instructions and it informed me that I got the credit. But even though I keep adding qualifying stuff through the assistant, the credit doesn't show up at checkout.

When I click on the assistant button it says Reminder: You've got a $5 off credit on your first order.
