Help your kiddos feel better by visiting Amazon.ca, where Children's Tylenol is back in stock online.

As of January 27, Grape Punch Children's Tylenol is available to order with a small $1.00 discount, while other varieties have sold out. While not a historical low price, discounts on Children's Tylenol have been virtually non-existent since mid-2021 – for comparison, the same item is currently $11.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart.

For reference, Children's Tylenol and Advil have been difficult to find over the past year, as there has been a shortage of pediatric acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil) in Canada dating back to 2021.

Children's Tylenol is available online while supplies last. Amazon.ca offers free shipping for all Prime members or on orders over $35.00 for those who aren't members.

    • Infant tylenol has oos since quite sometime on amazon. Not able to find it even at Shoppers. Does anyone know where to get it from in GTA?
The conversion from childrens tylenol (2+) to infant tylenol (0-23 months) is 2.5x (For those math nerds: 80g/1ml divided by 160/5ml = 2.5)

Example... you have an 18 month old who takes 1.5ml dosage of infant tylenol. If all you have is childrens tylenol, then give that 18 month old 1.5ml x 2.5 = 3.75ml (round it to 4ml)

It's the same drug - just different concentrations.

As an added bonus, childrens tylenol is much cheaper than infant tylenol once you figure out the math... you get a lot more acetaminophen from the childrens bottle for the cost. The only drawback to using the childrens version is that you have to give your child more liquid, which for smaller infants is less convenient.

    • Some SDM have them in stock if you ask the pharmacist. They're stored in the back to control 1 per familiy

Tylenol has been used effectively for 50 years... Follow the instructions on the package and it will not harm the child

    • I ordered via Amazon in late December and was quoted an estimated delivery of January 19th to 30th. Happy to report that it arrived way early (beginning of January) and the bottle had bilingual packaging. Fingers crossed now that I don't need to use this (already gave my previous bottle to a colleague who had a really sick kid at home and couldn't find any).

    • I'll add my 2 cents to this bottle battle.
I'm all for being resourceful and for those in a bind that have kids who aren't fussy, break 1 into 1/2 or 1/4 or what amount based on the math for acetaminophen or ibuprofen dosing and crush it up and mix it with something that isn't citrus based and give it ... If your kids will take it (I have 1 who will).

For those whose kids who can't ( and I also have 1 who won't even take the liquid if it's a different colour but the still the same flavour), get the liquid and 1 bottle per child at a time, should be enough. I tend to give a little less than the recommended amounts for a fever because I prefer to keep it around 38C and under so the immune system keeps fighting off whatever is infecting my kid rather than completely suppressing it.

One other thing, the US supplied bottles are slightly larger vs standard CDN ripoff size bottles. Unless you buy at Costco...

    • Lots of debate on what is considered hoarding and what is not.
I thought I was being nice in December by only buying one bottle, it arrived last week and finished after a couple days with my little toddler
I REGRET wholeheartedly that I did not order that second bottle because I couldn't find any today.
2 bottles is very reasonable, when fever's happen, they happen fast.

    • Our little one won’t eat jam or even their favourite snack when sick lol.
Ya, same here, it's hard enough when they aren't feeling like complete rubbish.

Fact is every kid is different, for some the 'crush a pill in the jam' works great, we aren't all that lucky though.

You can get the regular kid one from here and adjust the dose as per below table. This calculation was explained by our family doctor.

For e.g. 1 yo should get 1.5 ml (or 120 mg) of infant which is equlivalent to 3.75 ml (120 mg) of kid and as usual, please consult with your doctor in case of any doubts.

Yes, we found some at Walmart at Square One and the one near Sherway Gardens

    • Ask at the pharmacist's counter, at ours they were limiting it to 1 per customer but you had to ask the pharmacist for it (this was the US imported , English only labeled one).
Edit: RFD felt enlightenment was the more appropriate word rather than English?

At another, SDM, they had it at the front cash and you had to ask them for it.

      Thought US had no shortages....
One theory is people are buying up all the supply and shipping it to China due to the massive shortages and massive COVID infection rate over there.

Go by weight as well. The liquids are for small kids. Once they get close to 100lbs then can get pills. Ask pharmacist.

Translators charge around 50 cents a word. How many words on a label? 200? I am fairly certain most companies can splurge on $100 or so.

Because someone on Facebook said so.

    • It’s actually because our labels are ‘need’ to be bilingual so we don’t import any from the US. It’s a self made shortage like our carbon tax inflation..Can you believe these government policies?

    • If you are ordering for a delivery date in Jan you are likely not in need on any.

I am conflicted, but not ordering. Rarely used or had need for it.

If I order this "just in case" I contribute to limiting the supply.
If I don't order this then it could be an inconvenience getting it.
lol but then I won't have any for Jan if my infant gets sick. Dont need it now, but i still ordered. Call me a hoarder or whatever, sure.

    • Just came from Walmart (in QC), they had plenty behind counter, you juste have to ask the pharmacist or the tech, max 1 per family. 9.79$ i believe available either grape flavor or berries
They should be giving out 1 per health card instead of 1 per family. How about families with more than 1 kid, they still get only 1 and have to ration it among the kids? ☹️

Also nothing is stoping resellers without kids from getting kids Tylenol under 1 per family quota.

Sucks, the govt didn’t handle Tylenol crisis properly wish they could atleast handle rationing the limited meds properly.

    • If anyone in Stoney Creek/Grimsby area is in a pinch and needs some PM me and I can help out. I’m not selling it but I was able to get about 4 bottles from the USA a couple weeks back. I don’t mind helping a couple people out if your child is truly sick and you cannot get any. I can’t imagine being in that position with a little one who has a fever and can’t get relief. To people saying the problem is parents hording it 24 pills in a bottle depending on the age of the kid up to 3 tablets every 4-6 hours if your kid has a fever a bottle can be gone in 2-3 days at the most. Kid gets a couple fevers this winter alone you can easily go through multiple bottles so it’s being prepared and definitely not part of the problem.

Again please only reach out to me if you’re truly in need I’m working on the honour system to help someone who is desperate.
People don't get this. My kid likes the chewables and it lasts him around 4-5 days max. He's 2.5. I bought this liquid just in case but man it sucks
