    • I got the Bose 700 at $299 back in October.
It is not as comfortable as my old QC35 which I gave to my wife (still comfortable enough though).

Is it worth "upgrading" to this one?
      Anyone got experience with 45?

      Thanks

Bose QC35/QC45 are infinitely more comfortable (I've owned the 35's for years and I bought the 45's on release day in Sept). I tried my coworkers XM4's and after 15 minutes my head was hurting. Both my Bose's I could fall asleep with on a plane and I regularly wear them for 8 hours straight during work. The comfort is honestly amazing. Comfort is very personal but for me it was my #1 criteria when shopping. If we're comparing audio quality then the XM4's are better. Comparing ANC I would say the XM4 and QC45 are about the same, and both are better than the QC35. Sony also has better codec support.

The QC45 are basically an upgrade to the QC35, so if you like/dislike them you'll have the same feeling. They also look virtually identical.

The only complaints I see about the QC45's are: mic volume is low when speaking, wind noise if wearing outside can be annoying, ANC is not adjustable (either on or off) and there's no EQ.

Yes, although the QC45 literally was released at the end of September so its not that long just the first real sale on it.

I originally bought from Bose but this deal is too good. Returning the set I ordered from Bose and rebuying from Best Buy for the $70 off + amex credit. It's like $100 cheaper than what I paid lol.

    • Would recommend trying before buying if sound quality is at all a concern.

While XM4s have the old Beats thing going and are way too bassy and muddy, they can at least be EQd. Meanwhile, these almost have the reverse problem, with some seriously sharp and fatiguing treble. I much preferred the sound of the QC35s and the 700s.

Something I, personally, care about with WFH is the mic quality (despite my mic not really affecting my own experience). QC45's have a pretty good mic rating compared to the XM4's and listening to the samples it does sound waaay better.

    • I guess sales are not going well. Hard to believe they are on sale already.

Not surprised at all. Seems like a downgrade from QC35. I would've jumped on these right now if it weren't for all the issues (e.g. can't adjust NC causing issues like wind noise).

    • Wow, can't believe there's no adjustment within the ANC. Sony's it is then.

    • What is your opinion on noise canceling from 35 to 45?

Noise cancelling and comfort are at top of my list and old 35s are get worn down.

Doesn't the Bose app allow you to toggle between low and high ANC strength? Or you could change the button on the headphones to toggle ANC. Could've sworn I could choose between high and low on my QC35's

I can do this on my 35IIs by reassigning the left button in the app. Does the 45's not have the same option?

I wish. I would've bought this already if you could. The app currently only lets you toggle between high ANC and transparency. This is one of the reasons why people are saying this is a downgrade from the QC35s.

Apparently not, found this comparing the user manuals (QC45 can only toggle between 2 modes)
