What an amazing speaker, especially in outdoors/open areas. Returned my boom 2 and have no doubt it was the right move. It's an impressive speaker and so much better in open environments than the already competent boom 2. Didn't even bother tweaking the EQ either, really impressed.

Used the Mb at a secluded part of the beach on Lake Huron today and the sound was crisp, bass was nice. We were anywhere from 30-50ft out in the water playing.
I take it you've used/heard both?

I like the alarm feature this Boom2 to wake up to music. I always wanted something like that but just stuck to the good ol' radio. The charging port is odd since it's at the bottom and does not look like you can keep it upright while charging... but oh well, not a big deal for me. I was also able to connect it to via Bluetooth to my laptop. My wonderboom 2 was never discoverable by my laptop... tried many times and gave up.
How about the fact that there is no bass, thus does not sound good.
I just went through 8 speakers to get one that sounded good. Also props to fugoo speakers for doing it all.
Most of the good speakers are not waterproof
looking at the sony speker, its the size of a bookself speaker, $149
I have three ue2 and had a two of the older models. I’ve never had an issue with hissing noises or any low static. Maybe exchange or return for another one.
Although one boom2 is good when I pair them together they sound awesome! I highly recommend buying two.
As for the EQ, I don't have it near me to confirm (as the device needs to be connected to the app to show the EQ) but I believe I have the left column 3 above midline, second column 1 above midline, rest all left the same (midline).
How did you setup your eq?
It does everything I need (fits in a cup holder, keeps a decent charge, generally sounds great) for $100
Maybe some people need better choices in music and/or better bit rates
Oh well, sale ends tomorrow
