    • Thank you, just used IKEAFAMILY50 on an online purchase and it worked. I opened an IKEA account but I didn't receive any emails with the coupon or anything.

    • I would consider this dumb marketing, that's how to lose customers.
Costco.ca something goes on sale, i can get it price adjusted on the phone. Guess who I shop from next?
Ikea is an outlier however. 99% of the merchandise you can buy at Ikea is exclusive to them, you can't buy it anywhere else.

    • So customer service in store won’t do a price adjustment for you?
Customer service will price adjust if you go back, the online rep told me I'd have to bring everything back with me to do the inhstore price adjustment.

      Not worth my time.

    • Bought $270 of stuff yesterday morning, then in the afternoon this coupon is in my email.

The store's an hour from where I live and the online chat support person said they can't make adjustments. $31 in gas for a round-trip!

      What a crock...

    • Just wondering, what if I return one item that brings the total under $250, what happens to the $50 discount?
Does the $50 get evenly distributed among all the items? If the item I return is $50, do I get a $40 refund?
The discount is prorated. If you look at your online receipt, the discount is allocated to each product proportionally.

I did the online chat and they gave me a survey after. I was brutally honest with their policy being crap and the expectation to return in person just to get an adjustment is unrealistic when they sell furniture.

    • Last time I tried to use a similar promo at Ikea the cashier wouldn't accept a screenshot of the QR code, it had to be in your email. I had no idea they paid their staff enough to care.

    • Couldn't agree more! Time, gas, and sanity....not worth it.

IKEA does it on purpose. That's why you can only refund in person (refund/buy physically) and not just do price adjustment at customer service. It's just smart marketing. Lugging these large awkward boxes is never worth it.

    • Thanks! Maybe I'm just blind but where on the site did you find the QR code? I already am a family member but didnt get any emails either..
The QR code is in the e-mail, which I received as a Family member. I clicked on the link that transfers me to a web-based version of the e-mail simply to get a better screen capture. In any case, I didn't get the last one (in July) for $25 off $150, so it seems to be YMMV.

    • I'd provide a link, but each recipient gets a unique URL/code which contains the IKEA Family member ID/barcode and other identifiable info. Here's a capture of the e-mail contents (on desktop site, click on the image, then click "View Original Size", and use magnifying glass to view image 1:1):

    • The terms say it is only one per account, but I actually never tried to apply more than one to the account. If someone lets me know that it is possible, I'll edit my message to reflect it.
As I said, I applied the previous Ikea coupon ($25 off $150) just last week. 6 times. All on the same account. Ikea coupons are generic and their website does not check how many times you use it. To play safe, I put 3 orders for locker pickup, and another 3 orders for Penguin pickup. lol.

    • I am not sure about the $50 coupon, but I was able to apply the $25 off $150 coupon on 6 orders through the same account just last week. So I don't think you even need multiple accounts for this.

    • I have a tip for anybody who is buying a bed frame (or anything that consists of multiple parts sold separately):

if you have multiple family accounts, you can actually split up the bed frame into its components, meet the threshold of $250 and apply two coupons to it. For example, the Malm High bed frame with 4 storage boxes can be broken down into the Bed frame + Center support beam ($249) and the storage boxes and slats ($270). Add a 1 dollar item and you can get $100 off the price of the bed rather than $50.

You must have two separate Ikea family accounts for this to work.

      Yes on your 1st question..
I don’t receive any emails but have used coupons from past promos…. I just use the pickup (additional $5) and avoid staff from checking the email/coupon/qr…

    • Great deal if you can find what you need in stock
Went there last night and near everything we considered buying was sold out.

Id like to think its because of these sales but a previous trip also showed signs of low stock of popular items.

Here's hoping for a restock but i suspect many students will be working off homemade desks the coming school year

It's not worth spending an hour of your time for $20.
I have to be there anyways. The wife does the actual shopping. I just mope around or sit near checkout waiting for her. At least now I have a purpose and I can work for $20.
